I used to use professional static straps. This works really well for the hobbyist. Good value, fit is as expected. Well worth the money for what you get.

This is a decent grounding strap. Good skin contact in the strap. Both the strap material and the connector plate conduct. Grounding lead has 960K ohm resistance to prevent electrocution in case you touch something hot. Decent length so you can move without disconnecting. Grounding lead has strain relief at both ends to reduce wire strain. Rated 4 not 5 stars because the strap is not elastic. Many other straps have this feature which make them much more comfortable to wear.

Easy to clip to treadmill frame and completely eliminated shocks when touching electronics / buttons. A bit awkward to get use to having on wrist, but not a huge deal

As someone pointed out, not a “professional†strap. Ones i used at work were sturdier and had elastic straps which made putting on and taking off a breeze.

Bough this to use on my media blast cabinet. The media generates a lot of static electricity sending shocks every few seconds to any part of the operator that is close to the metal cabinet. These sparks will go through a shirt and will jump an inch. This anti static wrist wrap effectively grounds the operator and eliminates the shocks. The wrap was barely big enough for my wrist (I'm 5'7 and 150 lbs. - small wrists).

I like to walk 3-4 miles on my walking pad at least 4 times a week. As much as I love it, it was a TERRIBLE experience doing it while using my desktop or laptop at home. After a while, being shocked with static starts to become infuriating. I strap this around my ankle, clip it to a random metal surface on my standing desk, and can walk without issues. I will get shocked SOMETIMES if the walking pad touches the carpet, but as long as it stays off the carpet, I am static-free.

I loosened a screw on the handle of my treadmill added a short wire with a loop and clipped the alligator clip to it . Works great no more static shocks that would shut down the treadmill. The wrist band isn’t overly big but should work for most people. Decent price and it works.

Do not take the chance, if you are doing any upgrading to your PC, spend the couple of dollars and buy an anti-static strap to ensure you don't inadvertently do damage to your motherboard and components. This one is simple and has the snap so if you need to walk away for a moment you don't have to disconnect the whole wire just pop off the button and you have a snazzy wrist band ;) all kidding aside the product works as intended and reasonably priced a definite must have if doing any PC upgrades.

Does the job fine but a bit small since I have large hands and wrist

I use this on my arm while walking on my treadmill at my desk. Without it the static electricity was causing my monitors to flick in and off. It’s JUST long enough for me to put it on my arm and attach to the steel frame of the grounded treadmill. No more static shocks. Just wish it was a little longer, but manufacturers don’t think about edge case uses like this. They think only people working on electronics use these.

I recently embarked on a fitness regime that involved purchasing a new treadmill. I was full of enthusiasm and ready to reach my goals. I assembled my treadmill and was good to go. That is until I was delivered massive shocks each time I tried to adjust the speed in any way and was limited to the presets at either 4 mph or 7 mph. Want to go faster? ZAP! Want to go slower? ZAP! Want to stop? ZAAAAAAP! I would be flinching in anticipation before touching the dial because the shock therapy was super effective in conditioning my fear. I tried placing the treadmill on a mat and selecting workout clothes/shoes that were supposed to reduce static build up to no effect. I was still getting annihilated every time I used the treadmill. Then I found this wristband. I attached the clip to a metal point on the treadmill and worked up the courage to give it a go. I nervously reached out to the dial and after a few long moments of mentally preparing myself for the pain of another massive shock, I grabbed it. To my great surprise, there was nothing. No jolt running up my fingers -- only pleasant nothingness. It was delightfully uneventful. It took me awhile to get over the shock programming before I could touch the dial with confidence, but now I have nothing preventing me from getting my cardio in.TLDR: This strap is hero.
