Perfect for my bearded dragon and skink. These last a long time with the same heat output before you have to change them and they are safe to use which gives me piece of mind

Unfortunately this bulb just doesn't get hot at all. Barely gets above room temp in the enclosure directly underneath the bulb. You can even put your hand right under it and it doesn't feel that hot. Can't send it back because I don't have the original box either so that's not ideal. Wouldn't recommend.

For higher temps ( dragon 100- 105 ) needed to keep a heat mat under the enclosure as well. That's at 15 inches from substrate ( from bio bude) being 3 inches deep and larger flat basking stones ( 5x9) ( 4x6) and a additional heat lamp 15 inches away during daytime. Temp drops to 85 at night with just emitter and heat mat.

Amazon says these are 100v, but the box says they run at 220-240v 50Hz. It gets hot with 100v, but not nearly enough.

Update: I had been using this for under a year and have struggled to keep my ball python enclosure up to temp without a additional heat sources throughout this winter. Initially I had used it in the summer months through the fall which was fine but winter was the real challenge. It barely adds any warm to the new 4x2x2 enclosure. However, I just tried Fluker’s deep heat lamp and WOW what a difference it had made. I can actually feel the warmth in the enclosure with no added effort. No need for extra heating elements at all and it’s cheaper.I use this to heat up my baby ball python’s 50 gallon plastic tub terrarium. I mainly use this as supplemental day time heat and night time heat. It gets pretty warm but I find this on its own is not enough in my environment. This doesn’t heat the terrarium like a halogen bulb would. It does however heat the substrate and surrounding environment like the branches and slate rock which helps with retaining heat.My snake likes to bask under it at night. It’s great because it doesn’t emit much visible light so it doesn’t interrupt my snake’s nocturnal cycle. I use this along with a heat mat at night to ensure my python has adequate night time temps. Everything is on a thermostat and works as intended.

Heizt ohne (naja wirklich kaum) Licht zu erzeugen und ist keine Brandgefahr wie Heizplatten es sind. Perfekt für Königspythons da sie nachts Hitze ohne Licht brauchen da sonst deren Tag Nacht Rythmus als nachtaktive Tiere gestört wird (das Pythons kein rot sehen können ist übrigens bewiesenerweise kompletter Schwachsinn). Natürlich nur mit Käfig oder Schutzvorrichtung. 80W reicht bei meinem etwa 120 Gallonen Terrarium aus Isoplatten mit Glastüren aus selbst bei 20°C Zimmertemperatur aus um 30°C zu halten

I have a160cm wide x 160cm high x 80cm deep vivarium for a Brazilian Rainbow Boa. I use 3 of these bulbs with a dimming thermostat to keep right temperature and these do not seem to dry out the air as it needs to be humid like a rainforest.

Great product for heating our leopard gecko's vivarium. Works well and gives off the heat we need it to. Used with dimming thermostat it means that we can have it on at a lower temperature overnight whilst the nights are cooler. Works well and would highly recommend.
