Why Choose Us

Many telescopes have a focuser which does not allow very precise focusing. Especially difficult jobs such as focusing on a planet can be a real challenge. This helical focuser elegantly overcomes the problem. You need to do nothing more than to connect it to your existing focuser.

Primary mirror interfaces: M31X0.5/M42X0.75

The one side of double helical focuser is M31X0.5 male thread, including a M31X0.5 female thread to M42*0.75 male thread Adapter which you can get M31X0.5 male thread or M42X0.75 male thread on this side.

Main Feature:

  • Accuracy 0.05mm
  • Interface: 1.25" with M42*0.75 male thread
  • Primary mirror interfaces: M31X0.5/M42X0.75

  • Help To precisely Focus

Many telescopes have a focuser which does not allow very precise focusing. Especially difficult jobs such as focusing on a planet can be a real challenge. This helical focuser elegantly overcomes the problem. You need to do nothing more than to connect it to your existing focuser.

  • The Focuser has A Fixed Orientation

A further advantage is that the accessories, like a camera, do not rotate with the focuser. Therefore the orientation of the image remains unchanged. Via the optional adapter T2i-T2i ( Asin:B01NCS8RW6 ), the focuser can be easily attached to any male T2-thread, so the connection to your telescope becomes child's play.

  • Setting scale - for finding the optimal focus position again

A graduated scale always shows you the focus position you have just set. Once you've found the perfect point of focus, then you just need to remember this setting on the scale - you will then always be able to find it in future. The scale itself is similar to the millimetre markings on a ruler, but each marking here moves the focuser by only around 0.05 mm.

Sharper focused Planets Via The Helical Mechanism

Once the helical focuser is attached, simply turn the focusing knob with Anti-slip texture - which you can control easily even with gloves on in winter. The rotating mechanism allows very smooth and continuous focusing, and without any play.

3

Adjustment Accuracy: 0.05mm

The accuracy can reach 0.05mm, 10mm focusing stroke, and more precise focusing. Will meet your need for precise focusing during photography or, lightweight and portable, it's more convenient to carry and use.

Brass Ring Design

1.25" accessory collar with brass compression insh to prevent the marring of your telescope accessories, will not scratches your expensive eyepiece or zenith mirror, safer and easier to use.

Thread For Eliminating Light

Effectively reduce stray light interference, not only improve the brightness of the image, but also effectively reduce the dark edges formed, the edge details of the image are clearer.

Very firm focus. It appears to be an excellent focuser. Works great between my guide camera and OAG.

I use this for fine focus on a Newtonian telescope that has a poor focuser. You need to use a Barlow lens (I have a 2x) with this lens.

This focuser has been returned for the reason noted in the Subject, but I would say that if it works in your system, then it appears to be a decent unit.My problem stems from looking for a helical focuser for my OAG, which currently has a rather clunky mechanism for focusing. An important point is that the bottom of the camera (an ASI mini) is about 19 mm from the body of the OAG. Any focuser (and needed adapter from a place like Preci$e Part$) must work with this.On the Astromania, the circular tube comprising the bottom M31 adapter also serves as a seat for whatever guide camera is inserted. That tube is about 18 mm long. With the adapter this would be a bit longer, and all of this was measured at home, inside, etc., so there is great uncertainty that it will work at all with my rig. So I returned it. Another brand (more expensive) apparently does not have this limitation (a rep at a store 100 miles away checked for me).Again, I think the unit itself seems to be very adequate for this job, as long as your needed distance is far enough that you have some leeway either side for focusing. This is certainly why there are both good and bad reviews found here.[On the side, I found the mail packaging and original box to be very poor. It was not protected by a larger box and showed signs of having been under heavy weight. Inside the mailer (heavy paper) the box itself (flimsy cardboard) was partially pushed in, with a thumbscrew being bent--easily straightened out but still...Additionally it was obvious that this was a second (returned before?), since the plastic bag inside the box was damaged and torn, indicating someone else taking it out before. The box itself was missing an end flap too--more evidence. ]

I am super impressed with this device. I had a hard time fine tuning the focus on my telescope and this really does the trick. It has smooth motion while adjusting, and never catches our sticks. I would buy this again in a heartbeat

The movement is silky smooth and it doesn't rotate what you put on it.

Used it on a refractor to provide fine focus for photography. Works great!

It might be good for visual, but when i used it for guide camera, there was an obstruction at the end of the tube that prevented the camera from going all the way in. The camera started already above the focal point and moving it up further didn't help. gave 3 stars as the built was sturdy.

Too short for any of my plossl eye pieces causing severe distortion. I get perfect visuals until I install this

The worst astro product I've ever purchased. It was damaged. The box it came in was crushed and the unit literally came apart in my hand as I tried to adjust the focus.
