AVLA Compost Bin Kitchen Countertop
Our kitchen compost bin has a normal capacity of 0.8 Gallon, limit capacity 1 Gallon, measurement: 7.5" D * 6" H ( it's about 8in height with the lid ), not too big so that you can fit anywhere on your countertop without taking too much space.

We enjoy the appearance of this bucket. It sure does look better than the brown plastic one from our city. Another plus is the filter that absorbs odors and eliminates fruit flies. All parts are washable, so this is another plus for our family. Wonderful product!!!

I love this thing. It's perfect for my needs. I had started composting with a simple lidded paint bucket, which eventually became too gross because it was not ventilated. Then I tried ordering the one that the city of LA was giving out for free, which is labeled here as "for kids" for some reason. I had to return it because it was too big and clunky for my small, cluttered kitchen. Finally, I got this model which is perfect. It looks really nice, it's the perfect size, and the ventilated cover with charcoal filter really makes a difference. The waste stays relatively dry for longer, and there are no bugs. Most importantly, no maggots! Also, the wideness of the bucket makes it really easy to dump out the contents, and its smooth interior surface makes it super easy to clean.

Exactly what I has looking for! We were using a plastic gallon ice cream bucket for compost...this is way better, not too tall, no silly graphics, it's perfect!

This countertop compost bin works well, is fairly easy to clean (minus grooves in side), and has a charcoal filter that allows compost to breath without odor. However, the manufacturer doesn't have an obvious webpage or seem to sell replacement charcoal filters. This wouldn't be a problem if they were as small as most filters. If you look hard, you can find a large round filter that you can trim to create the correct filter size.

ProsLooks nice.Stops smells.Good size for a person who cooks a few times a day with fresh fruits and veggies (family of three).ConsAfter a few weeks the cap seal twisted and doesn't seal correctly.We untwisted time after time and gave up.Now it takes two hands to open which is very inconvenient and messy while cooking.And the handle pops out when you try to open it making it even more difficult.It has a lot of potential if the lid worked correctly.We liked it in the beginning and it's OK. Would we recommend it to a friend? No, find something else with a different type of seal.

It’s great but the filter that is on the compost bin top has grown mold. I want to replace the filter but it’s stuck to the compost bin top.
