The fit was perfect and very comfortable for my dog. It’s easy to inflate and very durable. This was very safe for my dog and it didn’t bother her a bit. She used it as a pillow. You just have to make sure you get the right size for your dog and that you don’t inflate it too much. There are good directions.

Worked very well for my dog who had ACL repair surgery. Not only did it keep her from licking at her surgical area, but you can inflate/deflate the cone to the dog's comfort level so it's like a pillow for them to sleep on (so helpful when they have to wear this for extended lengths of time). The inner area of the cone allows you to insert your dog's collar so you can actually use this as the means of securing it, leaving a little wiggle room for the cone itself. Highly recommend. I would add that if you’re planning to use this for post surgical use, it was helpful to put it on my dog here and there in the days prior to surgery. That way when she was out of surgery and had it around her neck at the vet hospital, she wasn’t as scared of it, especially when she was on medications.

We had our 7 months old, 56 pound Siberian Husky neutered. We wanted an intermediate between the E-collar the vet sent him home and not having a collar at all - especially since by day 3 he was completely back to his old self and not having the E-collar.Now our boy is especially good for a Siberian Husky-he's probably the most chill one I've ever met. But he still was acting up at having to take it easy after his surgery. And our other dog, a Pit Husky mix wasn't helping with his "keep calm" orders. Now, he could get to his privates-as it says, long nosed breeds probably can, however it was enough to determine him from trying to bug his surgery site too much, and get him to forget about it. It also allowed him to maneuver thru the house better than the E-collar did, and because he would come right up and cone pound you with the E-collar, once we got this, it saved us from getting more bruises than we were getting with the plastic E-collar.It works amazingly well for what we wanted it to do, and was easy to put on him-he didn't fight and freak out like he did with the E-collar.Our Siberian Husky never got it off, but he also never tried to. For funnies, we tried to put it on our Pit Husky mix (she is the real trouble maker in the family) and she got it off in a hot second, but our Siberian Husky didn't, so I'd say if you're using it for a dog that doesn't like it, you definitely want to make sure that you use some pet bandage wrap and keep the velcro strap from being swept off with a paw. This thing is durable, our Siberian Husky was able to run around and play with it and he must have been comfortable because he was able to sleep, eat, and drink normally with it.It may look funny-but it works! I never used it with my dogs collar looped through it because he never tried taking it off but you could alternately use pet adhesive tape through it and tie it in a knot instead of using the collar. It's easy to put on and take off and while it does make your dog look like the pool floaty kid from south park, it does its job and were happy we got it!

My docile senior dog needs something to prevent her from licking a sore, and I thought this inflatable protective collar would do the trick. I inflated it, put my dog’s own collar through the loops, and put it on her. I then turned away for less than a minute and, when I looked back, the inflatable collar was no longer around her neck. It was hanging down off the side of her neck. In an effort to figure out what I had just put on her, my dog pulled at it enough to rip open 2 of the collar loops. She wore this protective collar for less than 3 minutes, and now it’s no longer functional. I will be returning it.

So this idea is great unfortunately it did not prevent him from reaching his back paw which is where he had stitches. But he liked it better than the cone and it doubled as a nice pillow to rest his head. It overall doesn’t prevent him from reaching much on his body. The zipper to cover the inflatable broke immediately after i tried to zipper it but it was still usable so i just left it. The strap to hold the collar one of them ripped while he was in his crate that night and he got the whole thing off. So i had to sew that back together. You can see where the zipper broke in the picturesSo overall

The standard "cone of shame" from the Vet office is horrible! My dog plows into me and anyone else around him with it, leaving bruises. He can't see around him with how it extends way past his face! This inflatable donut is awesome! He was comfortable wearing it, and could eat and drink as well as lay his head down easily while wearing it. Best purchase ever! It held its air, although it was pretty difficult to pull out the pop-in tube to fill it. I hope they can make that part a little easier to pop up out of the donut to inflate. Inexpensive and my dog didn't mind this gear in the least!

We bought this for our 43lbs lab for her spay. She wore it all day right after her spay. The next morning after only be left alone roughly an hour, I came home to it completely shredded and hanging from her collar. She ate through the Velcro , fabric, and popped the inner tube. Giving it two stars because it is a good concept, just not meant for my pup.

The best dog cone. My dog was more comfortable after surgery than when in his traditional cone. This cone allows your dog to eat and drink and rest comfortably.

Our dog didn’t love it but tolerated it during the day. Come bed time, she was ripping it off with her paws.I put it on tighter so it stayed but she wouldn’t lie on her side. The cone pushed into her throat (as she slept on her belly) and her breathing sounded restricted while sleeping. I took it off and put her in a tshirt until we could order a onesie.Maybe our girl was just fussy, and it might work better for other dogs.XL; 67lb Long Coat German Shepherd (extra fluffy)

Did not hold air from day one. Had to refill a few times per day and then put it back on a very unhappy dog. Nor did it do what it was meant to, as my dog could still reach his neutering stitches around the thing. I bought a large one for a 50lb dog. I stuck with it because the traditional cone would cause my dog to panic, but I really had to watch him like a hawk and let him sleep in my bed to watch him at night. You can’t rely on this thing. Maybe the Kong brand would be better?
