This is not a problem with the drill bit itself, but rather its intended purpose. I needed to drill 7/8" holes approximately 5" deep in poured concrete. The concrete pad just laughed at this bit which was loaded in a 1/2" chuck hammer drill. It hammered itself right out of the chuck everytime and only got the holes about 1/2 inch deep. The bit held up and didn't break, but I had to rent a massive drill with a locking type bit which got the job in a fraction of the time. Perhaps this bit could get through cinderblock OK, but nothing more substantial.

Without the ability to use even the simplest of hammer drills, the bit is pretty useless. I did not get anywhere without hammering and was afraid to turn it on so sent it back.
