Bought as gift. I have one of my own and have given several away to my “older†friends. They work great to “pop†the top, makes opening jars so easy. Colorful so it’s easy to finds quickly in the drawer!

Years ago I had purchased one of these I think at a farmer's market. After about 10 years, it broke. Was happy to find it on Amazon. Works very well and durable.

I am 47 years old. I was born with physical disabilities, mental disabilities and emotional sensitivity. I have always had to ask someone to open jars with glass lids for me. The disabilities I have that make it impossible for me to open glass jars and lids myself are weak elbow muscle and finger dexterity in spite of lots of strength in my fingers (which has been tested on finger grip tests by psychiatrists and medical doctors).I bought that silver plate thing that you can place under the cabinet but it never worked for me.I saw this on Amazon. I already have a key hook thing that allows me to open pop tab containers in a second. I watched every video Amazon has about this item to watch and listen as others used this item. I also have small hands and fingers, so this item being slender and small is another lifesaver.I got this item in the mail yesterday. I told my stepdad about it. I know I can ask him to open the jars. I wanted to try and see if I could use this and open the jars myself. For the first time in m lfe, I could open the jar myself!!! :) I will explain how I did it.I placed the jar key so the window ledge part went under the metal lid. I made sure the two round nubs at the top were flat on top of the metal lid. I lifted up with the handle but it never worked, a few times. I remembered my lack of elbow muscle I always have. I am left handed and I also know a lot of projects are hard for us lefties to use. I lifted up with my left hand holding the handle. I used my right hand to gently press down on the jar key that was on the lid.I heard a soft whoosh of air and I saw the air pocket in the center of the metal lid go flat.I was able to twist and open the lid after that, very easily. :) I want to buy this for every adult in my faamily, even though they are not disabled. :)

This works! I have arthritis in my thumbs and it's painful to open jars or pop the vacuum seal. Running under hot water, tapping the lids, or twisting is painful and just doesn't work. This little gadget works with ease on any jar lid. A great gift for yourself and other aging friends & family members. A bit pricey for one tool but worth it.

These little gadgets are great for opening jars! I use it all the time. You just pop the side of the lid and it releases a bit of air and the jar is a breeze to open. I purchased a set of them so I would have one for the camper and gave one to each of my adult children. Would definitely purchase them again.

I got one of these jar openers as a Christmas gift from a coworker. I loved how easy it was to open jars. I got one for my mom and grandma and they both loved it. My grandma has already bought a few to give to her friends. I think this is a must for anyone who struggles to open jars from time to time, especially those with arthritis.

The Brix JarKey Jar Opener works easily as advertised. You fit the hook under the lip of the jar and then lift up the handle and the donut shaped top presses down on the vacuum sealed top and pops it. You usually can hear it pop. And then you can easily unscrew the top.It’s been that easy to use — at least on all the jars I’ve opened so far which have included some jars of pasta sauce (those glass pasta sauce jars have often been hard for me to open even with a clamp-on type of jar opener), and those small jars of baby food (my cat eats it to take his medication that comes in a capsule).Brix JarKey Jar Opener is made of thick heavy plastic so is very sturdy. You only get one of them in a random color of the five colors shown in the photo. Mine is the cherry red. Highly recommend this. I might even buy another one so I have as a backup in case I lose it or somehow manage to damage it.

The Brix JarKey is the perfect jar opener: I've tried other products, but they require a fair amount of effort and don't always work. The JarKey, on the other hand, works effortlessly and without fail every time I've had to open a tightly closed jar.
