I have a pretty strong grip but I was tired of wrestling with trying to open large jars with a small hand. I was using the hot water and tap with a knife solution most times. Other times it was yelling at my husband in frustration to come to the kitchen because I needed his big hand and grip. This is an amazing solution. Just slightly lift enough to break the seal and then the top is simple to open. I never want to be without one of these again!

I first encountered one of these jar keys at my sister's house a couple years ago and loved it. She had two so she gave me one. This year I bought one for another sister and she loves it, too. Just place it on the edge of the jar lid, lift a little, and it breaks the vacuum seal that keeps the food fresh and sometimes makes the jar so hard to open. Once the vacuum seal is broken the jar opens easily.I don't give a lot of 5-star reviews because there is usually room for innovation and improvement. But I just don't see any way to make this any better.5 STARS AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I couldn’t wait to see if this little gadget would pop the seal on pickle and relish jars. It is so nice to have found a jar opener that works! Other jar top openers work on normal jar tops but not on the vacuum seal jars. I no longer have to wait for my husband to open them for me!

I got one of these years ago as a stocking stuffer and loved both using it and thinking of the cousin who gave it to me. Then I somehow misplaced it and ordered this one. Great timing because I broke my wrist soon after and this tool’s ease of use is the only reason I could open jars. I love the satisfying “â€Pop!†as the lid surrenders its vacuum with a minimal effort on my part.

No more turning my jam, spaghetti sauce, etc. jars upside down and slamming on the counter to break the vacuum. No more being frustrated with the sling type opener that keeps slipping off the lid. Not sure why I never knew about this until at a friend's home for a girl's cooking class and she used it. All five of the other women there have this and couldn't believe I didn't know about it. Now I do. Buy it!
