it is just amazing the amount and quality of technology that can be squeezed into small devices these days for such a super reasonable price. We just got this and played with it, soon taking into the field on an extended walkabout. If anything changes will update the review here but right now it’s a five out of five.There is Chenglish In the woefully small “instruction manualâ€. controls are mis-labeled and directions in how to use stuff are incomplete and confusing. But the app seems to work ok and we can read barometric pressure and wind speed remotely.I’ve noted that other reviews say the device will not stay on by itself and keeps turning off. It describes this in the instruction manual how to switch between manual and auto OFF, but it doesn’t describe it very well. It does say, and this is accurate, the device stays on if it’s in barometer mode.So switch it to Barometer mode and it will stay on all the time. And wind speed will still be viewable on the Bluetooth app.if I paid $500 for this device, it would get two stars, but at this price points definitely five stars. So far anyway…

My son chose this as his prize for finishing a book. He was so excited for it to come in the mail and it broke in the first 10 mins. The little metal barbs up top were super flemsy. Very disappointing and I’m in the process of returning.

I just (easily) set this up this morning, and am thus far very pleased. The meter feels well constructed, the selector buttons have a good tactile feel to them, and the operation is straight forward. Setting up the bluetooth app that is available on Google Play was a snap. Everything worked immediately. I like the fact that this is uses a wind cup measuring system, rather than a fan blade, for the sake of convenience. Let's see how the accuracy and longevity of the meter holds up. I'm going to call this my 'handheld personal Mesonet'.

I bought this to use as a wind meter with a Bluetooth connection to my phone. Unfortunately, the unit shuts down after a few minutes. Teh connection to your phone is then closed. The product description says "auto/manual shut off" which should mean you can set it to stay on for as long as you need it to be on. That is not the case. It shuts down on its own and quits sending info top your phone. The phone app, which requires a bunch of questionable and not available " privacy policy consent" check boxes also does not control the device at all and just shows the display. Overall, not usable for what I wanted it for.

I was mainly interested in the anemometer function since I am operating night time imaging equipment that is sensitive to windspeed. This unit also has additional weather options including pressure and temperature. Smart phone app works well. There is also a threaded port on the bottom for mounting on a standard camera tripod if desired. I think this is very good value overall. I priced several anemometers with blue tooth smart phone apps that were at least a couple hundred dollars more.

Altimeter must be calibrated for the barometer to be accurate. When finished with calibration, the altitude is negative (below sea level)

Die App ist eine asiatische Datenkrake und das Gerät schaltet sich nach kurzer Zeit trotz Bluetoothverbindung wieder aus. Eine Einstellmöglichkeit dafür gibt es nicht.Das Gerät ist dazu noch schlecht verarbeitet und besitzt Gräte.
