I love this collar! It’s so soft (particularly when compared with the plastic ones) and easy to use. My cat didn’t love it, but he tolerated it well and it did the trick by keeping him from scratching his ear. I will say that because of its size, it would get wet when my cat tried to drink out of his water dish. I learned not to put so much water in the dish and that helped a little. Once it’s wet, if he goes in the litter box inevitably he’d get litter or litter dust on the collar so I did clean it a few times on him and plan to wash it once it comes off. The collar won’t work on a petite cat because it’s too big. I wish I could cinch it up even tighter. I would definitely this again!

Purchased this in lake blue, size medium, which was much too large for my 13lb very fit, large boned boy. Returned that and purchased in a small and it fits perfect as it's very adjustable. I also purchased 4 other soft collars ranging from donut types to flower petals to try. All nice items but none worked effectively to protect the injury on my cats neck. They either got in the way with flopping around or he was able to get at his neck. Despite him liking them as a portable pillow, I returned all of those. This one works amazingly well! It's very lightweight and water resistant. He can drink from his fountain without it soaking up water. He can still eat, use the litter box, play with his brother and get on the tallest dresser. His peripheral is only sightly limited but he isn't trying to rip the collar off (and he HATES collars). It covers his neck so he cannot aggravate it. However, he can reach his bottom and lower legs so this is probably not for those seeking to protect those areas. The string to tighten the collar is not elastic so be sure to have two fingers of room between the collar and your cats neck. I tie the extra length in a bow then knot the bow so it doesn't dangle. I came back and purchased a second collar (size small) in the pretty light blue to have a second one on hand to switch out for cleaning, but surprisingly, it stays quite clean and wipes off easily. Not all reviews on this collar were great but I think one needs to take into account the area they are trying to protect, the cats tolerance and ease of use. This one works really well and I've no idea what I'd do otherwise to protect his neck. Very thankful to have found this item!

My poor little kitty, many moons ago her collar scratched her, so we coned her. The scratch was right on the neck where the cone fit, so she just dug under the cone and made the wound bigger and she would just go in circles backward sand wail....Sigh.So we got a hard cone collar--it blocked her from getting the throat area, yes!...but then she started scratching where THAT touched her, on her ride side. F***.Soft cones didnt work because she just moved around them and scratched her face (ugh!), so we just kept trying different things: surgery suit, nail caps, foot caps, every single cone imaginable, and even home made contraptions variously with scuba material, socks, sweaters, velcro, pet tape, duct tape, doggy raincoat, plastic--you name it.Her talons are sooooon sharp (and her foot is pointed like a sharp knife!), and she is so good at slipping out of the cone that she either gets it off or scratches it to shreds within days.... so back on the cone-treadmill we went.I was at my wits end, nothing was getting her to the finish line without causing a new or recurring issue. ps, the vet was no help.So there I was, on yet another quest to find the "perfect" cone or suit or.. whatever: a rip-resistent above-and-below neck-combo cone/recovery suit that was loosely tied with no snug areas that she would want to lick--one such thing as I had yet to find.I'd nearly given up. They didnt exist. BUT since i had nothing to lose, I gave the internet one last shot. There it was!!!! --staring RIGHT AT ME---EXACTLY what I had been looking for! Could my prayers be answered?I ordered immediately and waited anxiously for 5 whole days before it got here (Hang in there Hootie!) and hoped upon hope I would not be disappointed. Finally, it got here, and I put it on the cat and.......HALLELUJAH!!! IT WORKS!!!!!Its comfy, and its long enough to cover all wound areas, the cat isnt licking edges because its not snug. As expected, she is scratching, but because the collar is loose fitting, a little puffy, and rip resistent, she cant get a good grip on it.FINALLY !The only thing that would make it better is if it had a strap that could go behind the front legs. Its actually fine so far, but I put a strap on it with diaper pins just to be sure.LOVE THIS THING!

Our cat has been overgrooming and destroyed two ribbed fabric cones. This new cone seams to be more comfortable and perhaps more durable. It adapts to the cats body when the cat moves making eating, drinking and resting time easier than with the ribbed cones. It's soft to the touch and looks great as well. It's synthetic, which is not good, but I don't see the industry making these in natural fibers. For now, the product is great. Gentle, cold water hand washing, should help keep the fabric in good condition.

My cat looks quite goofy, but it works much better than the traditional cone or the donut one. The hotspot on his neck is healing, this design is very comfortable for him and does not rub against the wound. As an added bonus, he has not been able to Houdini his way out of it. It's a win all around! Note: I bought the medium as I have a fairly large cat. He has tons of room to spare.

This is a great alternative to the 'cone of shame' animals have to wear after surgery. My cats have not once tried to remove these since e we put them on, unlike the cones that they tried to pry off. Our cats can see all around with these on. Can climb on their cat tree house without a problem. They can eat without issue. When drinking water, the 'recovery collar' will dip into the water and will get damp. But it doesn't absorb a lot of water and dries fairly quickly. The cats sleep very well with these collars on, almost like a portable neck pillow for them. Highly recommend!!! Our cats are kittens btw, not even a year old.

He loved it 100/10 he was so comfortable. He was good sleeping in it. He sliped out of everything else this wasnt that tight on him and he only took it off once. I used it to stop him licking a hot spot.
