My 18 month old indoor/outdoor cat keeps pretty close to home but this is just another level of assurance. It is very light weight and hangs easily from his collar with my phone number on it. App was easy to install and tracking is spot on. I chose pet from the device drop down list but it was weird that 3 pet tags showed up on the map in my immediate neighborhood so I changed it to Bo and now only see the one / his.

I rarely leave reviews, but this product is so bad I feel I have to warn people about it. We put it together and attached it to our cat's collar in preparation for a trip we're taking in about a week. I wanted him to get used to it. He seemed fine with it.I downloaded the program and then tried to "locate" him, even though he was about 6 feet away from me in my eyesight. Nothing. No beeps. Nada. The map told me where he was, but if I'd been trying to locate him in the dark, it would have been useless. (He's a totally black cat.)Took it off and took it apart and tried to get it to beep. Nothing. Silent. It was literally 6 inches away from me. Tried to read the instructions. THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS! Tried to make it beep multiple times and finally decided to change the battery. THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW! It's impossible to get the first battery out to replace it. So I gave up and put it down. Then as I was putting my phone down I inadvertently pushed the musical note button and "beep beep"! It did it several times...the same button I'd been pushing. It worked! For about a minute. But then it quit again.I'll give it another try tomorrow, or my husband will, but I could never rely on this to find my cat if he escaped his carrier. It's a piece of junk and I might as well have thrown $30 in the garbage. And, of course, I'm 2 weeks outside the return window. DO NOT BUY!! BE WARNED!!

This did work. Wasn't precise but gave a general vicinity. After about 2 weeks she lost the collar and tracker. I went to the last location it was detected at but couldn't find it.

Disappointing accuracy on an otherwise promising device. The size is the same as the tag my cat wears for the electric door so that's workable. The app worked initially with detailed map but within hours was off by hundreds of feet. It showed my cat inside my new neighbors house which led me to knocking on their door at midnight. (I'm lucky I didn't get shot) He wasn't there but there were three little bicycle icons like the one next to his name, which I'm assuming are other Android devices.There is a warning on the listing saying this item is frequently returned. Is it and Apple vs Android problem? A high rate of defective devices? Software vs hardware? The positive reviews indicate some devices are working as expected. I like to get one that works as the size, app and map are all positives but without better accuracy it's worthless.

DEATH TRAP..(No Stars) Collar killed my daughters cat (Holly). She only wore it less then 24 hrs. This was very devastating her cat was only 2yr old Siamese cat. Apparently she died from Strangulation. We took her to the vet to verify it was the collar and they agreed. So we had her cremated to help my little one deal with the situation. But she is still upset about it. Plus the tracking sucks I was only able to track her if I was near her and even then it was very accurate. She would be in the house and it showed her across the street. Please don't buy this product and take a chance it not worth the heartache.

The tracker box comes with a nice little collar, the tracker itself, a ring to connect to the collar, and a spare battery. It seems to work fine with the recommended app. I am not sure if it works with other apps. The app is ok. You can easily refresh the screen to get the most recent location. It did not seem super precise, but it was pretty close most of the time. It does require a manual refresh to get the current location and there is not an option for real-time tracking. Once you see the location, the icon shows where the tracker is but it just sits there until you refresh it. There is a beeper in the tracker, itself, which allows you to use the app to ping the tracker and cause a little beeping noise that can be heard if you are within 30-50 ft, or so. This is a handy feature. I did misplace it and the beep led me right to the tracker. I did not check for actual waterproofness, but it does seem like the tracker is decently made.
