Very simple to use. I'm not an expert, but it was an inexpensive way for me to identify all of the cables in a new home. It verifies all 8 conductors. I recommend.

It didn’t come with any instructions or the described F type adapters. They’re another $10 if you wanna check cable tv coax. I just wanted to check dead coax for moca network. I was able to after waiting on the connectors I bought. Wish I’d bought better to begin with. It’s basic on off at one end and other end lights. Should have just used a battery and my own meter tbh. Edit: I upped the stars the company reached out and gave me a full refund for the things missing. So essentially I got one for free. It’s still a very basic bnc and kinda rj45. It doesn’t give strengths, but it will tell if a wire is broken. Again good company tho as far as customer service. They didn’t even ask for the tool back. Just refund. Changes 1 to 4 stars to reflect their initiative thank you

Worked for finding the correct bnc ends in an octopus like tangle of coax that someone unhooked without labels. A little bit hard to use at first due to the light going off

Horrible Investment. the tool, is inaccurate. There aren't any valuable instructions in English. Zero information to determine which pairs, lines or cable ends are correctly wired, causing an extensive amount of waisted time. Finally the tool can not be used for more than an hour or out doors (in dry weather) without overheating. After only one day's use, the tool burned its self out. I would not purchase this tool ever again.

first time using one on my own, simple to use, worked exactly how I expected it should, and for the price, I was quite happy. It is now on the top tray of my electrical tool kit!
