I JUST RECEIVED THE DELTA VALVE, IT CAME WITH COMPLETE INSTRUCTIONS AND WELL PACKAGED PARTS. I WATCHED INSTALL VIDEOS ON U TUBE, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, AND PROCEEDED.( I AM NOT A PLUMBER). REMOVING THE TEMPERATURE CAP IS EASY, IT JUST PULLS OFF BY HAND. THE SLEEVE WAS A CHORE, BECAUSE I HAVE WELL WATER AND THERE WAS CALCIUM RESIDUE. I SPRAYED IT WITH WD 40, LET IT SOAK IN AND USED A PADDED CHANNEL LOCK WRENCH TO TWIST IT OFF. SO FAR IT WAS FAIRLY EASY. THE NEXT STEP IS REMOVING THE SCREW-ON COLLAR. THIS WAS A CHALLENGE. (CALCIUM BUILD-UP AGAIN). I USED A LARGE PIPE WRENCH WITH NON SKID PADDING AND WITH MUCH CAREFUL PRESSURE GOT IT OFF. I LUBED ALL OF THE O RINGS AND THE THREADED SURFACES WITH SILICONE GREASE. THE INSTALL WAS EASY, EVERTTHING FIT PERFECTLY. I TURNED THE WATER ON IT WAS AS SMOOTH AS NEW . I' M TAKING A SHOWER AS SOON AS I FINISH THIS REVIEW. THANK YOU AMAZON FOR ANOTHE EXCELLENT PRODUCT AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE.

None of the local hardware stores carry this part (Ace, Home Depot, Lowe's), so I tried a substitute that is "equivalent" to this part. The installation was fine but about 3 weeks later, it was acting up, turning completely 360 and did not stop. Later water was shooting out of it, the pipes were humming like the pressure was building up and it was about to burst! I had to quickly shut off the main water to the house, after managing to save a few buckets for later use. Thank goodness I found this item here on Amazon. The brand said it is "Delta Faucet" so I kept my fingers crossed. It was 1 day late for delivery (said it was running late, prob due to Mother's Day, which was when it was supposed to have been delivered). When it finally arrived (the day after Mother's Day), I checked and it said it is "Delta genuine part), so I went to work. Carefully following the directions and installing it (it really is easy but I was being extra careful). Once done, it gave me no problem, no water shooting out or humming like it was about to burst. Thank you for carrying this original part!!

This worked on my Delta 17 Multichoice shower. You get the cartridge, the two seals and springs, and the quad seal. Took about 30 minutes to install. No leak at the shower head anymore. However, I docked this product one star because this item was supposed to have been brand new - it arrived in Delta packaging, but inside the package, the hardware was placed in a small plastic bag that was simply taped shut. The packaging claimed that there was a package insert inside with install instructions, but the insert was missing entirely. So no instructions. Not a huge issue since there are good videos online. But if you advertise a product as new, then send the buyer an actual new, unopened product.

This product was very economical. Unfortunately, I had to return it because I ordered the wrong product. Amazon took the product back and cheerfully refunded my account.

I love anything plug-n-play, and this was definitely that. Pulled the old one out and put this one in, and voila! It worked! A super easy to install. Can’t believe I considered paying a plumber for this job. Watch videos on YouTube on how to install. Btw, my shower handle says Delta “17/17T Multichoice†on it and it worked fine.

Old one leaked, new one doesn’t leak. Seems like a great idea. Install takes a bit but I’m not skilled labor so it is what it is.

Replaced the bathtub/shower with this (matched the numbers) YouTube showed how to remove everything ( make sure you have water turned off first and the drain plug in just in case you drop something. Super easy I replaced it in around 10 minutes. Make sure you see where the setting is for how hot you want it. So you duplicate the setting on the replacement.
