I really like this product. After years of running a small inverter generator, after hurricane Milton, I decided I needed a backup generator. As my inverter generator, despite servicing it and starting it monthly, is over 14 years old and can't last forever. In fact part of the polymer front control panel was starting to decay. So I picked this up to monitor the hours on my new commercial generator. (It was very expensive and shocked it didn't have a hour meter. This solved that) I'm a retired aviation engineer, and I always read the instructions, some elements to this instruction manual had me scratching my head. But it's a simple device, not much to figure out once its out of the box. I do like the RPM monitoring in addition to the hour metering.

Tested this on a GY6 engine having a known idle RPM setting and it read spot on. Really nice little tachometer, I like that you can just hold it up to the engine to get a reading. Display is clear and easy to read. Great value for the price.
