does the job for any practical purpose. I'm glad i got this it does what it says it does. and that's all i needed it for. The ones that sing and dance aren't for me

Comparatively I don't have much to go off of, but I can say it's numbers fall in the ranges there supposed to be in any test I preformed so I'd imagine it's accurate. Also it's easy to use and for the price if anyone artificially grows anything it's kind of a must have and well worth the money.

Although the documentation specifies +/- 3% accuracy, at this price I was doubtful. Decided to invest in more expensive meter (twice the price). At levels above 100 lux the meters give quite similar readings. In lower light settings this meter yields moderately lower readouts. While I'm glad I invested in the more expensive unit, others may opt for this meter, especially if one doesn't expect to use it often in lower light situations.

This works pretty well for bright lights, but the advertised wide range is a bit misleading. Under bright lights it seems to perform well, but in dim lights the measurements become very coarse and jump around continuously. I bought the meter to measure local parking lot light levels at night and it is practically useless for this application. A free app for my iPhone did a much better job under low light levels.

This really helped me take the guesswork out of understanding my lighting conditions for my plants. I did 3 readings a day (morning, noon, afternoon) for a few days to get a better understanding of what sports are truly “bright†“medium†and “low†light.

Readings are all over the place with the device reading maxed vales even with a palm covering the sensor.Do I need to calibrate it? Am I doing something wrong? I have no idea - the instructions are exclusively in Chinese!

Works exactly as described. Screen is nice and bright, includes batteries is a plus. There's other metres exactly the same for twice the price -- there's not reason to spend more money. This one does exactly what they do.
