Ordered this thermostat to pair with our bedroom space heater which only has manual heating controls. This works great! Now we can set a specific temperature range for the heater to come on and shut off automatically during the night. The unit is easy to set and adjust and is really accurate. Wish we had bought this years ago!

Will agree with some of the reviews that say it is a tad complicated. Best advice I can give is to scroll down the page listing this item on amazon, and look for where it shows the 4 timing options. If you see a "CD" on or off on the lcd, then you are in a "countdown" mode. (cd means countdown...they really never explain that).And, if you want a countdown mode, once you have entered your settings, you have to push and hold the SET button for a couple seconds to actually start the countdown.But the unit does work, and would recommend for someone who wants a timer that performs the functions this unit does. I used to to start a small space heater at work a couple hours before I got to work.

I like the versatility of heating/cooling/timer mode. I'm using a pair of these to provide heat inside a chicken coop, allowing me to save energy costs. These units will pay for themselves this winter alone.

I bought this temperature controller because it allowed both upper and lower temperatures. Indeed the limit temperature can be set at 0.5 deg. F precision and the controller digitally respond to the limits precisely. Other temperature controllers have undefined or uncontrollable hysteresis which can be several degrees. Price/performance is good. I'm considering purchasing another one. The only one negative I found so far is that its display LCD has a limited viewing angle - no bid deal.The output relay went bad with about 30 day use only during night time. The precise temperature control is useless if its output relay is bad. Very, very disappointed.

Needed to figure how to run the pool pump to prevent the pipes freezing on cold nights and winter days. This unit turned out to be perfect. I programmed the "turn on" and "turn off" temperatures using the freezer in the house for the sensor. Now I plug in the pool pump power line to this device and place the temperature sensor out in the air. It's been working well and amazing for the price.

I've been using this to control a small 500W space heater in my generator shed. It has worked flawlessly and it was easy to set up.I would caution you to only use this controller for small loads.

sin 1: imperial measurements only. there isn't even the functionality on the lcd to have metric. who would make such an accursed device in 2024sin 2: permanent backlight. not even the menus have timeouts, there's always something blinking on screensin 3: blue led illuminating my bedroom at night which sadly my phones camera fails to fully illustrate. positivily vilethis gets 2 stars because it is "an thermostat". it is functionally an thermostat. it does in fact turn my space heaters on and off better than their built in ones, not that i can read the things without thinking about it
