It's well designed, has loads of features, and the construction feels quite robust. The included blade works very well for wood and aluminum and is ok for mild steel. If you plan on cutting a lot of steel, I would get a dedicated blade, but for occasional use, the included blade has you covered. The only "negative" I can say is the blade spins up a little slower than I'd like, but I'm pretty sure this is just a soft-start mechanism rubbing my ADHD the wrong way (it takes MAYBE 2 seconds to spin up).

Customer service was great. I had to call them because the saw arrived without the saw blade. The cardboard envelope, that was suppose to have the blade, was there, just no saw blade in it. The envelope was sealed so it must have been missing at the factory (made in China). I first thought "how am I going to prove the blade was not included?", but when I called, they did not question that, just got my address and sent me one. Maybe this happens enough they were not surprised?Overall the saw works well, only used couple of times. Slow to start, quick to stop, just like it was suppose to. I would've liked a shadow alignment LED, like some newer saw designs, but I can do fine without it.

Overall I’m more impressed with the unit than I thought I would be. The plastic construction is actually very robust and sturdy. Assembly was ok. I’m not a video person and would have preferred an exploded diagram rather than using the provided instructional videos. In the end it’s not that hard to get put together. Alignment was pretty good out of the box and I haven’t chosen to adjust it for the work I’m doing.The blade is pretty impressive and makes quick work of soft materials. I haven’t used it on metals yet, but plan to. The soft start feature on the motor is a nice feature and helps with cleaner cuts. Note of caution the evolution blade system has a 1†arbor so you can’t use just any blade in the saw. Evolution has a nice range of blades to choose from but it’s not an infinite selection.The vacuum attachment is so-so. It ends up being a reducer on the size of the vacuum hose so it limits performance. Some of the assembly videos show an additional side clamp that would be useful but doesn’t come with this model or appear to be available on the website. The top down clamp provided with the unit has some utility but doesn’t provide a firm restraint to the work piece.I also bought the stand and they work well together. Attaching the saw to the stand was a bit more of a hassle than expected. I would have expect quick release fitting between the saw and the supports that fit onto the stand since they are from the same vendor. While the nuts/bolts are easy enough they do create extra work if I want to use the saw off the stand.

Cuts through wood like butter. Very accurate miter cuts. It is a very well built miter saw. I recommend this compound miter saw.

As the title says. The box was taped all over and my first thoughts were “yep†I bought a ****ing return without my knowledge. And when I opened the box there was like these powdery white fingerprints on everything. Again I suspect this might be a return. The blade looks fairly new but I think it’s slightly used tbh. There’s tell tell signs all over it. Anyways….I wanted to see if it actually works. It works. No burning plastic smell when I pulled the trigger so motor checks out ok…..for now. I bought this for cutting whatever.Mostly non ferrous metals to be precise. I wanted to see what this saw with the factory blade would do with aluminum. Every YouTube vid I looked at they all cut 1/4†or a size thicker aluminum. I fed it a piece of 1 1/2†x 1 1/2†6061 solid square bar and lemme tell you that saw went through it in seconds. Was like watching a hot knife go through butter. I’m well pleased with the way just the factory blade cuts so far. Might buy more blades from evolution in the future if the prices drop any. But I don’t see that happening right away since the market is flooded with much less expensive blades that will work on this saw and achieve the same or even better performance. But who knows I might actually buy some blades from evolution and update this review….only time will tell. Long story short….I really don’t regret buying this saw it’s the things I mentioned at the top of this review that have me wondering a bit. If I had to do this again I wouldn’t buy it online. No way. It’d have to come from a retail store with a recite so I could take it back if it was junk. But I took a chance on Amazon. Last chance I’m taking with power tools on here after this was unboxed tbh

This is not a well made miter saw, its built cheaply, and every cut shows. Make sure you check every nut and bolt after every cut, your cuts will vary in accuracy. Not impressed one bit, 0 stars if I could.

Needed to miter cut a bunch of aluminum framing for a snake enclosure. I didn't have a miter saw and most void the warranty if used to cut metal so I picked this saw which is made for multiple materials.The saw was easy to setup, double checked the levels and angles and only needed some minor adjustments before starting my project. The saw did a beautiful job with the 45 degree angles with zero tearout through the extruded aluminum frames from 80/20 for this project. The cuts looked at least as clean as the ones from 80/20. I could not be happier with the results especially since no deburing was required.I am definitely looking forward to putting this saw to use for other wood and metal projects in the near future.One thing I wasn't expecting was that the US version does not include the front clamp. Most of the you tube videos I had seen must have been from the UK. Fortunately I was able to reach out to Evolution (was after hours and they got back to me within 24hrs) and they had the front clamp for purchase by itself.

Although the 10†R255 came without the blade from Amazon, Evolution quickly sent a saw blade to replace the “Missing†one.The power is amazing and cuts though metal easily with the blue soft metal 10†blade.Definitely a must have!

I received it as a replacement. I understand the seller can use the refurbished one as the replacement but its quality is really horrible. All the surface are contaminated by greasy dirts and even the angle indicator is peeled off. No anti vibration spring either. I don't recommend for other customers to ask replacement. You will get a junk instead of brandnew one.

Excelente herramienta solo que se regresó por qué vino incompleta caja en mal estado pero realmente el producto que importa venia nuevo solo que muchas piezas faltantes Amazon me realizó la devolución

Buena sierra, motor potente, aún no puedo calibrarla del todo, buen disco para corte con diferentes materiales, no traÃa la prensa aunque se menciona que se incluye, concluyó diciendo que trabaja muy bien.
