I purchased this to enable my auger to dig wider holes for 6 x 6 posts. I just completed a big project and it worked great. All but the largest oak tree roots. Smaller roots it cuts right through. I wouldn't have made it without it. It is still sharp and going strong. Hit some large rocks and giant roots and it didn't break or bend. When I need another one I will purchase this one again.

Building my new fence. Set expectations beforehand - no yard is going to be nothing but dirt. This worked great to significantly cut down on the amount of manual digging I had to do. However, my yard has a mix of dirt, clay, tree roots, rocks, bricks, and whatever else they threw in as fill. I had to take it slower in some parts, like in the clay, and but I found I could work through most things.. I did have to use a pry bar to work 2 inch or bigger rocks loose. Also, I didnt by the extension bit, so my max depth with my SDS drill has about 33 inches. I had to dig the last few inches with the post hole digger. This worked awesome for what I needed.

Had to grind down to fit the drill adapter but after that this works well for planting and post holes.

Perfect size when putting in 4 x 4 poles. makes the holes the right size so you just have to put concrete. I got the 10".

The shaft is too small for a gas powered auger... there is no way to make it larger without cutting it off and welding a piece of pipe or something onto it to make a sleeve so it will slide on and be able to put the pin thru. Do not buy if you cannot weld

Easy to assemble and did the job well. We will be using it again for the other side of our house. We dug four holes and set the posts in under 2 hours. We are in no way close to professional. Definitely worth the purchase!

Auger was a little difficult to figure out gass oil mixture after trial and error got it working.Works well although the drill augers were 2,4,6 inch I had to spend 115 $ ,to purchase the larger bit extra that was originally suppose to come with who nwneeds a 2 augger bit!
