I've been a welder for 22 years now and this is the best welding hood I've ever owned! It is very lightweight very comfortable seems as if it will be extremely durable and very functional! I didn't know headgear could fit so great it's very very comfortable! The construction of it seems as if it will be extremely durable and will take plenty of abuse which is not uncommon and a welder's life. The shape of the hood hugs the contours of your head and allows you to get in tight spaces while shielding your ears from those pesky balls of molten metals that want to go down in your ear holes.

I’ve had my pipeliner for 17 years. I love it. I don’t like change but my wife got me this for an early Christmas gift. As far as longevity I can’t say. I hope it is as tuff as my pipeliner. When I say this is without a doubt the most comfortable hood I’ve ever worn I mean it. I have a feeling that the headgear might be the weak point. I really hope not that is what makes it so comfortable. It’s light, already chopped and has a flip front. I put the same brand auto gold lens in it. Which by the way is awesome I’ve been using it for almost a year. They should send me some stuff to try out. I’m rough on stuff if they make a good product I can find out. I really hope that it lasts cause I really like it. I’ve only used it for three days. I will definitely give an update in a few months. UpdateWell it has been 6 months now. I weld 6 days a week. And this hood has held up extremely well. The headgear I was worried about no issues whatsoever. I added some more pictures to show how the pain isn’t like a Honeywell hood. You weld in a pipeliner for 10 minutes with a 6010 and it looks like you’ve had it a year. This one I have mainly burnt 1/8 6010 5P+ and 3/32 7018. All positions and it still looks really good. I still can’t stress enough. This is the most comfortable hood I have ever worn. I find myself still walking around with it on because I forgot it was there. It may not be for everyone. I saw one review that said you can’t wear it on a hard hat. Fortunately I don’t have to wear one. So I can’t say that for sure. And for the people who need the top of the line Keep up with the Joneses, then this probably isn’t for you but if you want a damn comfortable tough hood, not a lot of money at all this is it.

The helmet overall is very good, it attaches to my head very good and the overall quality is amazing. The lenses fit in helmet good.

Been using Lincoln electric but was tired of having to use the face guards to grind so ordered this because of the flip up feature and I can’t wait to use it! Didn’t know that it wouldn’t come with a seeing lens so I ordered that separately luckily they both came the same day and I’m ready to weld! This welding hood looks dope feels so light weight and was easy to put in the screens. It is already way more comfortable than my other hoods I’ve used because of the adjustable strap. Great buy for the money!

+Headgear is really comfy and quite adjustable.+Helm it self is super lightweight, your neck will thank u.+Comes with some spare plastic springs lens holders.+It doesn't feel cheap, from flip up mechanism to headgear everything feels nice.-The warning sticker inside helmet is pain to get off.I can highly recommend this welding helmet.

The hood was exactly what I expected, but the head gear exceeded my expectations. A lot of these hoods come with crappy head gear. So when I received this hood I was shocked that this manufactur choose to go with a higher quality adjustable head gear. The fit and feel was good. Also came in a nice storage/ carrying bag. I paired this hood with a true color auto lense which was a seamless fit fyi. I give this product two thumbs up, definitely recommended. Will buy again

Been on the hunt for a solid beater hood replacement. I prefer US made products but the closest in $ to this one was a Jackson for $100 some.This is a solid hood. Plan on ordering a welding shaded lens separately as it only ships with the clear plastics and extra set of retainer brackets. Use it everyday and headgear is better then what came on my $500 hood…

I’ve owned a couple of helmets including miller, this is the best helmet I’ve owned by far especially coupled with there auto darkening gold lense, it’s also the lightest helmet I’ve ever used

The flip lasted about 2months and now it doesn't shut right, the pins fall out and need pushed in daily. If you need a serious welding screen DON'T waste your money on this.

I like the color, it is more likely to be a cooler helmet than the black color helmet. The fit for my head,seems comfortable, although I haven't had a chance to use it yet, because the helmet did not come with any shade lense,it only came with two clear protective lenses, so I had to order two different 2" x 4 1/4" shade lenses from ready-weld.ca which was an extra expense. I was disappointed that the seller would not include at least one (#10 shaded lense in the set) he had some cheesy excuse why he would not. Any way you can buy hardened glass shade lenses for $3.00 each plus shipping cost which is a little expensive from ready-weld.ca plus they are a lot better quality and they also supply other reasonably priced welding supplies. Other than that, the helmet itself seems fairly strong except where the lid opens it seems a little cheaply made,with cheap plastic inserts to hold the lenses in place. I tried two other welding helmets from A amazon.ca and I sent them both back the next day, they were very flimsy and wouldn't stay in place and the head gear was very cheap plastic. This welding helmet here, is the best one so far for the price. So I would say " yes go ahead and buy one, if it doesn't suit your standards you can always send it back to amazon.ca.
