Yes, you can end up with one that drips but if you bought enough automatic waters, you know that is normal. Return the one that drips and get a replaced. I love the way this is designed.

These are tough... easy to install and with built in water shut off makes it ideal for livestock. The drain plug in the bottom allows for easy cleaning. With a heated hose and bird feeder warmer, this can be used all year round.

This is a great waterer for our animals. Easy to install. It’s nice and heavy duty, and has a drain at the bottom, so you can clean it out. There are notches on the inlet pipe, so you can adjust the water level in the container. Our turkeys kept stepping on our red chicken water cups, and breaking them. Now, he can’t.
