My G-daughter’s lab needed a constant water source and filling bowls was not working. I had the idea of a continuous water source and I found it in this delivery system. Mounting it was easy but I spent more time in the big box stores finding the adapters than it took to mount it. I used a split hose adapter on the hose bib and ran pex to the bowl. Finding the right size male and female pex adapters to the hose bib and then to the bowl was challenging, but eventually successful. I recommend you receive the bowl before you purchase what you think you will need in adapters. I had to adjust the float height to keep the bowl about 3/4 full at all times. The dog took right to it without delay.

You get iron.pipe threads no Hose thread connection and the float is trash I am just using it as bowl mounted to my house now until.i replace the float and I had to but a 1/2 ip by Hose adapter for it too.

I want to like this, spent extra on the metal valve over plastic.Problem is, no matter how much adjusting or adding weights or tinkering I try, it will not consistently fill. The float is not heavy enough most of the time to allow it to sink down enough to fill, I've tried it adding weights and that works occasionally but still it's either overflowing or dry most the time.

The refill rate is so slow this is not usable for a large animal (horse) that consumes the water faster than it will refill.

No hose fits on it.. it doesn’t come with any type of adapter, im just stuck with this thing with no way to hook it up

There are several out there like this one, but, look closely and you will see on this one a full brass valve assembly! Now, along with this you will need a short hose and a 3/4" to 1/2" reduced adapter. The hose you need is just a simple washing machine hose if mounting near a water spigot. The adapter goes on the water pans valve. I also used teflon tape to ensure a water tight no leak fit. Easy mounting and you can set it so the valve is on either side that's best for you. The drain plug works good, but I'll be replacing it with one that's easy to turn by hand as this one requires a wrench or pliers. The installation took me about 10 min tops. Showed my dogs the water and removed the bowl that was there. As soon as they took a drink, gave them a good ole boy pat pat and a treat. Now they use it all the time knowing its theirs. Clean, fresh water all the time. Final note, I only cracked the spigot open a bit as that's all it needs. But did test at full pressure with no problems. Great product that with its build and brass valve, should last years and years. Even if the float ever fails, you could make a new float out of most anything the way they designed this. Well done!

Capacity says 10.6LTo me that means 10.6 litres of water the bowl will hold.But it only holds maybe a litreNot impressed with the product description somewhat deceiving
