This meter has better quality than 90% of the items we see from China. The housing feels durable and has a good grip texture to it.It can be calibrated but was close enough. It says "Explosion proof" . No, it is not. It's plastic. The LCD cover is plastic and can't take high temperature, fire, explosion or significant impact. It says "Waterproof". No, it's not.I'm not complaining about it, just setting the facts straight vs what the book says. There's a small effort with a rubber flap over the USB port but that has no real seal on it.The O2 sensor doesn't appear to have a seal around the sensor perimeter. The 3 LED indicators have no seal around those. The plastic case fits together firmly but it's not sealed and has no O-ring.It's not waterproof but is well made. It's basically rain/drip-proof for 5 minutes and that's fine. The charge circuit only understands 5V rates on USB (no fast charge 9V, 12V) but works fine and charges at a decent 500mA hour rate on 5V. It flashes the lights to show that it's charging.Fast Charge 3.0, 20V fancy rates ? No.But, it works fine and the 500mA rate at 5V will charge that size battery in 4 hours. Some things could be better such as:The back light goes out very quickly so most of the time it's out and can be hard to see the grey LCD on a grey background. The LCD cover is somewhat reflective which doesn't help. It'd be easier to read if it had durable, anti-reflective glass like cell phones have instead of plastic but it will do the job.It has a very old mini USB style charging port design from 25 years ago. Those cables are getting hard to find and not a good idea. The battery is an internal 2000mAHr 3.7V battery pack that plugs in so it could be replaced if needed. The battery has a small circuit on the side probably for over-discharge protection.Using ONE 18650 battery at 3.7V may have been a better design and those are easily available but they went with a square battery pack with 2 wires on it since it's flatter. It says the sensor has a 2 year lifespan. That's pretty short for a test instrument. Not ideal. The menu is system is not great but can be made to work after starting over a few times.Usually we won't need to use the menu after it's setup. It has plenty of quirks but the main functions and alarm works ok and it respond quickly. It functions in warm or cold air temp (tested to 0F) and it read the same. 20.9%It's better made than most products from China and appears adequate.

The oxygen detector comes inside a black hard-plastic carrying box with a handle. The box measures about 8" long, 5" wide and 3" thick, is labeled “TOPTES GUARD-756 02 DETECTOR†in white font on an orange background. Inside, I found the O2 detector, its gas hood, a charger, and lots of foam padding to protect the detector from falls. The detector has a round-toothed metal clip on the back and a loop. I use the clip as it snap-closes with force. When I turn the detector on - I have to long-press the power button - the display turns on and shows messages of self-tests. After about 3 seconds, it’s ready and starts measuring the oxygen in the air. Mine gives me a reading of 20.9%, and the display also shows the current battery level. To enter the menu, I shortly press the power button. I can set the threshold alarms for low and high oxygen levels. I increased the low threshold to see how the alarm sounds and looks. The detector flashes 3 red LED lights at the top, vibrates, and makes a buzzing noise. It doesn’t stop until the oxygen reaches a higher level than the low threshold I set. The alarm stopped immediately when I set the low threshold to 19.5%. I also set the time and date for correct record-keeping. To turn it off, I long-press the power button for about 3 seconds and I have to confirm if I want to shut it down.

This is my second TopTes air monitoring device, I also own a similar looking device that tests for carbon monoxide as well as a few other gasses. both are well made, sensitive, and seemingly accurate. I tested this device by first taking a reading in normal room air, and it showed 20.9 % O2, exactly as it should have. then I put the detector in a closed plastic bag with a nitrogen tank hose outlet and gradually displaced the room air in the bag with nitrogen. the display tracked the dropping O2 and sounded an alarm almost immediately. Very good results. My only complaint is the charge port - MINI USB not even micro ! ... yes they give you a cable, but if you lose that cable you're in trouble since no one actually has mini usb devices or cables anymore. Minor complaint, but that's it. I would still purchase this product.

This oxygen detector is a well-designed, reliable, and portable Oâ‚‚ monitor that provides accurate oxygen level readings across various environments. This device ensures safe air monitoring, making it an excellent choice for industrial workplaces, confined spaces, and even home use.It has Multiple Alarm Systems – Safety is a priority, and this monitor delivers with its triple alarm system (sound, light, and vibration), ensuring that oxygen fluctuations are detected and communicated immediately. It also has a Long Battery Life – The rechargeable battery powers the device for up to 120 hours on a single charge, with a real-time battery indicator and low-battery alert for added convenience. The Guard-722 performs exceptionally well in real-world applications. Its ability to detect low or high oxygen levels quickly makes it essential for confined space entry, welding, and other hazardous environments. The alarms are loud and responsive, ensuring immediate awareness of any oxygen deficiency or excess. The battery life is a standout feature—lasting up to five days per charge, which is better than most competing models. The sturdy build and included storage case make it a great long-term investment, as it can withstand tough conditions.Rating: âââââ (5/5)

I was a bit sceptical when I requested this Oxygen Monitor but upon receiving and doing some preliminary testing I must say that I’m quite pleasantly surprised with both the build quality and responsiveness/accuracy of the TOPTES Guard-722 Oxygen Detector. It comes in a very compact case that is of decent quality and will serve to store and protect the detector. The clip on it is of good design and quality and ensures a very secure hold onto whatever you are affixing it to.THE UI is very user friendly, and the preset alarm parameters are in line with Health & Safety regulations/guidelines here in Canada. I have not tested its explosive resistance, lol, but it definitely feels like an incredibly robust build.I tested this alongside an established and known brand, and new, it performs equally as well. I will have to update if any issues arise concerning longevity or continued accuracy of the sensor but at this point this seems like a high quality product. The fit and finish, as well as the display quality on this unit are all fantastic. All alarms work very well; the audible is sufficiently loud, the haptic is strong and would be hard not to notice, and the visual (red lights on face of unit) are bright.I do wish that it charged by USB-C but as it is an entire unit in a case altogether I can forgive it that one shortcoming. For my uses this will be more than adequate and it will definitely get lots of use.

This is a very professional model, as is reflected by this price. Very easily set up with a long battery life. The menu is easily navigated, once your personal preference is stored, the alarm sounds almost instantly whenever the warning setting is reached. Once reactivated the original information reappears nwhich is a bonus. Mine can be attached to my clothing with ease. Good buy. Definitely recommended.

I tested this monitor in a section of known restricted oxygen. And while comparing the readout to another, very expensive monitors, I saw this device provide every accurate reading that had the other. And although the other device has additional set points available, so do not see enough worth compared to this unit, to suggest spending the additional money it, when this device does the same level of functionality for the most important aspects needed. Meaning, for the price, this is the device worth every dime. And the others are expensive options for no known reason. And all TopTes devices that I have owned in the past, have proven themselves to be top quality and long lived. Well worth it and a great value always. The alarms have options for audible, visual, and vibration. All of which works very well in most environments. With a very clear, easy to understand screen display, the lighted screen gives the readout of what information is needed clearly and without added nonsense. With a great battery life, strong PPE attachments, and rugged body, it is very good value.
