Does what it says. Great for small projects! Easy to use, even for a small person like myself.

You're not going to make major telephone pole size holes with this thing, but it does pretty good size holes fairly easily and most of the soil around me.I've used it to plant 2 gallon trees and many smaller plants around my property with these. Believe it or not it's easier to use than to drill auger because you can control the speed and size of the hole and depth much easier.Easy to put together, easy to maintain and keep clean, last a long time based on my usage so far, good quality holes without much effort. The price is good and I consider one of my go-to tools in the garden.

Does not really do as expected. If in dry dirt won't dig. Does slightly better in mud

The product came very well packed in three pieces with accompanying small bolts and wingnuts. Very easy to assemble, but could not establish a rigid one-piece assembly for fear that I would either strip the bolt threads or break the wingnut. Surprisingly, the product worked reasonably well although the structure was a bit shaky. The handle was non-slip and worked as advertised. The accompanying gloves were a God-send and are definitely needed. In my view, this product will perform admirably in normal soil, but forget it for hardened clay. I literally could not penetrate the clay no matter how much weight I applied, but had no issue with normal soil.

I wanted to install a trellis for a grape vine, but my area has rock hard caliche clay soil, and I'm a short out of shape female who has never successfully used a post hole digger. I thought an auger might be easier. The post is 22", which is why I went for this longer one.And... it worked. I mean, I used a hose to dampen the soil, and a long prybar to score it prior to using the auger to remove dirt. Rinse and repeat. Slow going, but the trellis is up. It's level and it looks great. Backfilled with concrete for a permanent installation. The auger did not break in the process of fighting with our terrible caliche clay, and I didn't have to pay someone an arm and a leg to dig 2 lousy holes. Excellent.

Functional and easy to set up, but feels quite flimsy and a bit loose in your hands. Build quality with tighter fittings would be a VAST improvement. To be fair it’s a reasonable value for cost.
