Description:
Close the coil spring compressor until touching the center rod, and insert the compressor into the coil spring
Compress the spring for removal or installation and only release compression when the spring is set for installation
Compressed springs contain significant stored energy and must be carefully handled and decompressed.
This C-Clamp will not bend or twist under the stress of compressing valve springs.

Really good for a $16 valve spring tool it works actually decent, got a set of heads done with no problems - 32 valves. Well actually I can't complain because of the price but if you want to know the only con is that the slide handle that you grab on to twist kept falling out. If you make it a point to make sure you don't let go of it then it's fine. I would recommend just welding a nut on that shaft and do away with that handle rod thing, then you could use an impact to quickly compress the springs etc.

I bought this to replace my valve seals on my Mini N18 motor.It feels a bit cheap, and there are some VERY sharp edges on the adapter things.But with the head off the car, this worked really well for the 16 valve springs I needed to R&R. I like it because unlike the bar-type, this leaves both hands free to deal with the keepers.Its cheap, and it shows, but it worked just fine.

The best tool we found for removing valves and springs form my Acura J series motor. It is easy to use. For price a no brainer. I tried others tools but sucks compared to this tool.I like the fact that there is more sizes and can be used for other heads. I feel it's a must have in my tools. Price is great!

First ever valve job on a VW OHC TDI engine. THe valve springs and keepers are in a hole! Regular valve spring compressors wont work.This kit had an adapter that I put in my milling machine and used the vertical quill to compress the springs.It worked great!

Not strong enough to work with a 1.4 L engine, the tool bent with the effort to try to compress the valve springs.

I don't know how well it would work for car engines but I can say for motorcycle lawn mower and four wheeler engines this thing works perfectly the right tools for the right job
