Bought a Ryobi before getting this one,and this by far works better,so I took the Ryobi back for a refund,not knocking Ryobi as I own plenty of Ryobi tools and work with them daily,but in my opinion this stud finder was better

I'm giving this a 3.25 star rating.The unit feels well built (i.e. good weight, quality feeling plastic case, and good feel to the buttons).It does find the approximate center of normal wall studs behind one sheet of wallboard which is my main use (replacing a very old stud finder that it beginning to not work correctly).The calibration goes pretty quick, but after removing the unit from the wall for a fairly short period of time (not sure how long, but I think in the 10-20 sec range) the unit has to be re-calibrated (sometimes it does it automatically, and I cannot figure out what triggers it automatically.I have seen it detect electrical lines and that seems to be accurate based on where the light switches and power outlets are located.The backlight on the screen is pretty bright and does make it easy to read, but that probably is what makes the batteries only last about 2 hours. Taking 3 AAA batteries makes this fairly expensive over time.

Pretty nice little studfinder. Lots of functions and the accuracy is pretty decent. I was able to find a stud pretty much no issue. I'm not about to start poking holes in my wall to find the edges of studs to test that function, but for hanging something, it proved to be a useful tool. Nice display readout and easy to see warning for when you're getting close to electrical.

It works great, I use it for my diy remodel project. There are so many nails in the drywall and lumber. It easy to use and detect the nails. Help me a lot.

Dieses Gerät hat eine optische und akustische Anzeige. Diese ist sehr genau und präzise. Das Ortungsgerät ist in einem wertigen Material gefertigt, sehr leicht zu handhaben und hat ein geringes Gewicht. Es stört nicht, wenn man es nach Gebrauch z.B. auf der Leiter in die Hosentasche steckt. Es findet problemlos Metall oder Stromkabel. Gut verpackt und pünktlich geliefert. Ein sehr guter Kauf zu einem angenehmen Preis.
