We live in a house built in the 40s and have plaster walls and it’s absolutely impossible to find a stud to nail things into this came highly recommended and we’ve really appreciated having it as we’ve decorated our house and fix things. It definitely does not 100% accurately find studs, but it’s way more helpful than a stud finder and can get you pretty close to where you need to be.

It finds the screw in seconds. It is a great design. It will work forever and never need a battery.

Great product that works exactly as advertised. Granted, you could buy a generic magnet but I really like the pop design because you can see the magnetic pull wane as you move it side to side over a fastener, helping you to get a better idea of where to put your screws. I do wish they sold these in 2 or 3 packs that offered a little extra savings though.

I had high hopes for the StudPoP® "Original", but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. While it does eventually find metal fasteners in studs, it's not as quick or effortless as advertised. You have to move it slowly and carefully across the surface, which makes it less efficient than other stud finders I’ve used.That said, it does work once you find the right spot, and I appreciate that it doesn’t require batteries. However, if you’re looking for fast, reliable stud detection, you might want to consider other options.

This little tool worked perfectly on my plaster wall. I was a bit nervous about trusting it to find the studs in my wall, but after watching a few videos I built up my courage to trust it. It worked exactly as advertised.

I was skeptical, but this little tool really delivers! I live in a ~200 year old home with brick exterior, and plaster and lath on the inside. The walls over the years have been patched up with plaster and drywall compound and god knows what else, but this stud finder IMMEDIATELY detected nails that hold the lath to the studs. There's no mistaking it, no second guessing. When you hit a nail, there's an audible "POP", and the little indicator stands straight up. This has ended hours of painstaking trial & error and made my life so much less frustrating!If you have a problem wall, like thick plaster & lath, look no further than this little but powerful tool.

it's a bit expensive for what it is but it does seem to work quite well the only way I think you could get it cheaper if you was on holiday in the states as otherwise it's not bad not bad at all

My home was build in 1955 and has plaster walls. I wanted to hang a closet system but couldn't find studs with any stud finder. This worked well, was accurate and super-easy to use. (It's worth noting, I'm not particularly handy, and I figured it out.)
