It works great for our hotub. Lightweight and asy to store. Arm does not extend but you dont need it to if you are doing small jobs. Very easy to use. Durable material but it's all in how you care for your items too.

I ordered this skimmer net to be able to use it inside the swimming pool, while I am in the pool. In Florida, the filtration systems in "public" and even gated community pools (considered commercial) are prohibited from using the suction feature, so any bugs on the surface of the pool are not sucked in to the skimmers or the grates at the bottom of the pools. The "filtration" has to be by gravity, meaning the bugs eventually drop down the skimmer baskets, IF you can get the bugs to stay inside the skimmer door. Otherwise, the water surface is coated in gnats, bees, flies, mosquitos, and other bugs. I, personally, cannot stand bugs floating up on me while in the pool, so decided to buy this net to use. It is made of very fine mesh, which collects even the layers of gnats and all other bugs and leaves. It has a nice short metal pole that I can use to tap against the side of the pool to get the bugs off the net and out of the pool. I find this net to be very well built, and useful. Very much recommend if you need a net to use from inside the pool.

I actually bought this to clean out my horse water tanks and it works great. The handle makes it so easy to reach deeper into the big tanks

Update added below … 12/21/24But I’m not keeping it. Net is too stiff when trying to shake out debris, when it’s “upside downâ€. It does not easily pass through itself, to turn it inside out. Way too stiff.No idea if that would get better over time, maybe it will, but I’m not waiting to see. Netting is small, but skims the pool ok. Not as hard to move through the water as the net I use to clear tree pollen in the spring. But since I already have a fine webbing net, I don’t need this.UPDATE 12/21/2024:Life happened & i Didn’t return this in time before “return window†closed. So I kept using it.Again, the net is ok, but how good is the net once the aluminum frame breaks? We shall see. The frame bends very easily.Wished I would have returned in time.
