I like that the heater is compact but powerful enough to heat the tank size it is rated for. The cord is a practical length. The controller is easy to use, and the temperature/adjustment display screen is very convenient, very easy to see what the current temperature is and what adjustments you have made.

I like the size and controller. I bought two of them, however one of them malfunctioned and overheated my tank and killed my fish. The other one seems to work ok so maybe just a faulty one…

I got the 15 watt heater for a 2 gallon cube. It is unobtrusive in my heavily planted tank, was easy to set, and seems to keep the water within a degree of the set point. The only negative to me is that the controller is close to the wall plug. That doesn't cause a problem since this little tank sits on a desk with an outlet within a couple of feet, but it would not be desirable with a bigger aquarium on a stand since it would require me crawling on my knees to set the temperature and the controller would also be out of sight for the most part.

This 50 watt digital heater works great. I use this one for a large round 14 gal bowl, filled with about 12 gals give or take. At 70 degree room temp it goes on about 25% of the time. Don’t take to much notice what the the cord temp says, seems not to make much sense. But the temp you set it for, once stabilized, is almost perfect. Keep a cover on any tank otherwise there is no telling how many watts you will need. I liked it so much I got a 25 watt also for a smaller tank, also works great, even goes to the same temp as the 50 set on the same number. Super small and not very noticeable. When used right, you will love this heater. I also think the 25 watt will be enough for my big bowl too, will try.

Impressed with quality and ease of adjusting temperature. Struggled a bit during our recent Florida snow event but warmed back up quickly. Easy to hide in betta tank.

I bought this to heat a small betta fish tank. My tank is 0.7 gallons....its the Penn Plax triple betta fish tank. I only have one betta however this heater fits the tank so that I could have three fish in the tank if I wanted to. This heater keeps my tank between 77 and 79 degrees F. This is a perfect temperature for bettas. The reviews mentioning that this heater does not adjust temperature properly are only partially correct....this heater is rated for tanks between 0.5 and 2 gallons....however smaller tanks will heat easier than larger ones...meaning a lower setting will make a higher temperature. So my 0.7 gallon tank heats to 77 degrees F if I set the heater to heat to 74 degrees F. My house also has AC in summer and warm heating for winter.....your temperature range my vary if you don't have central AC. If buying this for small fish bowls just test it first to see where the temperature will go before adding your fish. My betta has been happy for months now. I would recommend this heater for anyone with a fish bowl or small betta habitat. It works....looks decent inside the tank too.

I ordered this in October of 2024 and had it running on small marine tank for less than 3 months before it completely stopped working. The only thing that still worked was the temperature readout that let me know the water was 63 degrees. I lost hundred of dollars in aquatic life thanks to this piece of crap.
