Photography has been a 60 year interest of mine, and incident light readings are the most accurate. Sixty years ago I had to build my first light meter from a kit, I couldn't afford a brand name. I've had that and other analog meters over the years, and have played with an Android app. The latter is a bit temperamental, including consistent readings and trying to hold the phone.....in display washing sunlight.Well, goddess bless time, technology, and the Chinese. This probably cost what that kit did, counting for inflation!A rotating head is beyond logical, so that one can face into the light but read the meter. I picked this meter over another one $7 cheaper because IT COMES WITH A CASE! So many products don't and we all know what that means. Case holds the instructions, screwdriver for the battery slot, and now, a little chart that can convert FC's to that ancient meter's meter number, which then, via the large concentric dials, can convert to exposures. That little bit of how to is in the instructions for the ancient meter.
