I needed to replace the original oil cooler block off plate on my 2008 Silverado 5.3L and it fit perfect. Best part so far is it comes with a gasket so I was able to get rid of the metal "gasket" with this replacement.

Inexpensive, does not leak, and quick shipping made this an excellent purchase for replacing the factory oil cooler delete housing on my 2006 5.3

Pappy sez, It's a good looking block off plate. It's a shame no one will ever see it.

This cooler block off plate is machined well and has a nice anodized black finish. The o-ring fits tights and won't fall out while installing the plate. This kit includes A2-70 stainless grade fasteners. There are no torque specs listed with the kit, but factory torque spec is around 9 ft lbs. You will need to go closer to 15 ft lbs to actually get the plate to sit flush against the oil pan face. One thing that concerned me is the 'well' inside the plate for oil to pass through is not very deep compared to the factory block off, which I was worried would reduce oil pressure. So far that has not been an issue. If you own a 2WD truck this will be a super easy install. If you own a 4WD truck, you will need to drop the front driveshaft to get it out of your way (as seen in my photo). Overall I think this is a decent kit and recommend it.

See the pictures. It seems then edges of the oil supply holes didn’t line up with the cavity or cut the o ring. 2006 gmc 4.8

Worked good. Well until the engine got up to temp and pressure. It leaked and I had to place another seal and hard gasket to fix it. But it was a little short.
