I haven't actually got a chance to use it on a real snake but however I have been practicing somewhat with rubber snakes and it is very easy to just scoop right underneath the head and get it. I imagine with a real snake you actually have to be pretty quick but it's still a good quality product and I think it will be safe for the snakes so we don't hurt them and the bag that comes with it. If you get that is also great. Catch the snake. Drop them right in the bag. Pull the strings tight and you're done. Take it somewhere else and let it go. I would recommend this product.

This review is for a telescopic snake grabber and bag combo. First, this one is safe for you and doesn't affect the snake. Snakes are important, I just don't want them in my home. The claw end is coated and closes tight enough for baby snakes up to 5ft. Wouldn't wanna lift anything heavier with aluminum. I recommend you shorten the pole if you need to lift heavier snakes or use the pole to guide the bigger snakes into the bag. Thank you

Bought these ahead of time as we have a lot of snakes ðŸ around here and only a matter of time until they get inside where they don’t belong. Nice equipment and a good size net. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

This item with the net is perfect for bagging large snakes most easily. I caught a snake within days in our chicken coup and released it miles away by a lake. A+

I was hoping for better quality, and I was very disappointed. The mechanism inside the rod comes loose, so the pinchers do not work. This tool is for catching snakes. It is essential that the tool used to catch a snake is reliable and does not fail. This product has failed me twice while catching a snake, which makes for a very stressful moment. I have spent too much time trying to fix this product and will be returning. Do not buy!
