This chart opener is one of the better hand openers I have ever had It is easy to use you have to use a little bit pressure sometimes on the harder to open jars but as a whole it does a good job.

I had been giving myself blisters trying to open this jar of red cabbage. Had the lid off in less than 5 seconds with this Kichwit Jar Opener! It took a few tries to get it to grip the lid, but once it did, the lid came off with minimal effort. We are very happy with this Kichwit Jar Opener.

I purchase this jar opener about a year ago, a little disappointed in that it does grasp the lid very well. The gadgets tends to slide after you think it is tight. Works a better if I put a rubber grip pad on top. This gadget is ok. Wish I had returned it, too late for that now. Being a senior with small weak hands I did not find this gadget useful. I will just add it to my collection of kitchen gadgets that open jars.

super easy to use and works every time. I had one like it in the 1960s-70s. This desing worked great then, and it does now.

I watched a bunch of YouTube videos and decided on 3 jar openers to purchase, planning to actually keep all 3. The other two were instant fails for me based on safety (one mounts under cabinet and has two jig saw blades embedded in it to grip the jar, the other just erratically mis-grabs the lid and swings away in the open air).So with this one, I grabbed a salsa jar from the pantry and handed both to my wife.She has wrist pain and struggles often with the task. She put the device on the jar lid, and it spun around scraping paint off the lid but not opening it. Hmmm. Not good.So I gave it a try. I lined it up, but I slowly closed the device until I felt it get a “biteâ€, and then I turned it with pretty normal force, and off comes the lid. Cool.Well kinda cool. I started operated the device back and forth looking at it my hand and it was turning hard. The gears seemed to be aligned, but it was like something bent?I worked it a bunch of times, and it would sporadically turn smoothly and then hard.I put the lid back on the container, had my wife try it again, telling her to make sure it grabbed on to the lid first, and she was successful.Long story short. I really want to not only like this device but love it. I reduced my rating by one star because of the fact that I BELIEVE one use on a lid damaged the device to the point where it now functions erratically. I also BELIEVE this was a lid I could have removed myself without any tool whatsoever.PS I am keeping the product despite its warts.

I decided to try this product to see if it would help with opening jars. It's unbelievable how well this little thing works!!! I have had jars that I've been unable to open even when using a rubber gripper. If I use this I am able to open it on my own. I'm sure there's some sort of physics behind it or the fact that my grip isn't strong enough but this thing is a little miracle. I love it so much I purchased one for my 75-year-old mother And she also finds it easy to use.It's sturdy and very comfortable to use. I've had it for a few months and have had no issues so seems to be well made.

I found this tool very useful once I got the hang on how to position it it helped me open jars as my strengthen my hand because of my physical disability does not mind things like that and they do them up too tight

compre el articulo pk estaba fastidiado de abrir tapas nuevas, la primera vez que use, nada mas encaje la tapa y dando vuelta con presion, se movio facil, no es apto con tapas ya usadas ya que no hay presion de fabrica.
