I purchased an LCD clock on purpose. The letters are large, sharp, and easy to see. The new color displays are too busy and seems that the Chinese manufacturers who make them are trying to out-do their competitors with what they can stuff on an already over-stuffed, busy, and hard to read display. This product designed by LaCrosse is a home run if all you are interested in is the time down the second, day, month, date, and moon phase. The remote sensor has a very long range and the clock picked it up almost instantly. The clock received WWV easily the first try and keeps itself accurate to the second. Yes, there are certain things that people do that rely on time accurate to the second, so it's an important function. If you want something that works, that is easy to see across the room, and will work for years, I recommend this model from LaCrosse.

I am a fan of these types of clocks with the temperature sensors. I had an old one that finally gave up the ghost and would no longer work. I bought this as a replacement. La Crosse brand seem to have good satellite aware auto-time-set and I always look for this brand. So far easy to set up and looks very good in the place of the other one. I consider this a good buy ... Thanks Amazon.

This is our 3rd LaCrosse Clock/Indoor-Outdoor Temperature Unit, which is simple to set and easy to read. This unit is rather simplistic, which is what we desire, giving time, temperature inside and outside, date, with the day of the week.. This is a replacement for another LaCrosse unit that we've had for over 10 years, where the remote unit died and was not able to be replaced. This new unit set up in our master bathroom, lets us know how to dress for the weather that can change dramatically from day to day with living in Michigan.Warning: If this is a unit you desire, make sure to buy new.... not even 'like new", as we did and ours arrived without the outdoor remote. Quite the disappointment. So three contacts later we were able to secure a remote, which arrived about a week later. The frustration was not worth the few dollars savings. But fortunately LaCrosse came through!

This digital clock works pretty much as expected. The time, date, temperatures, and moon phases are all laid out in sizes proportional to how often I expect to need the info. Time is largest, temperature second largest, etc. It was my favorite layout of all of these devices.Functionally, it generally worked as expected. When I first powered it up, I had to place it in a western facing window to synch with the Colorado atomic clock signal. (I think it's kind of funny that they call the receiver the atomic clock. It isn't!) It would not find the signal from my northeast window. But once I synched it in the west window, it seems to keep the signal locked in from the northeast side of my house. It also found my neighbor's outdoor temperature sensor - so apparently the outdoor thermometer transmits on a pretty common frequency. But once I synched it to mine, it's held that for the last month. As far as overall design, this is where I have a problem with the unit. The unit itself is 8 1/2 x 11. But the actual display is only 4 1/2 x 7. There is a stupidly wasteful 2" plastic border on each side. They could have easily made the display bigger, and doing so would have made it much easier to read. The other really dumb design error is the moon phase display. Here, it is REVERSED from what is intuitive. The display of the parts of the moon that are in the sun (bright) are.... DARK on the unit. I guess that the designers decided that sunlight = display on, which is black. I have to do a mental reversal every time I want to see the moon phase. They need to rethink this - or have a switch to match reality.

A little expensive, but worth it. High quality, looks expensive. Perfect for my bathroom.

La Crosse Technology 513-75624-INT Digital Atomic Clock with Outdoor Temperature and Moon Phase, BlackOrdered 2023-11-05Received 2023-11-07 & installedAfter only 23 days I report:I installed batteries in clock and outside tempature sensor. I hung the tempature under my north facing porch roof. I set the time manually. So far the clock seems to work well. The outside tempature seems to report a tempature near local weather tempature reports. The time digits are easy to read. It also has a smaller second counter. Temperature digits about half the size of time digits and are easy to read.Wish it had a back light, even if it requires pushing a button.

This had all the essential features for my elderly mom to keep up with the temperature inside and out, the moon phases, the day of the week, etc. She looks at it numerous times a day and is glad for it. The letters and numbers are large enough to read easily and it looks good on my wall.
