Well...the only instructions were video...but since this was an easy set up, I give it 5 stars. My yard pathway is dry, hard, compacted soil. I've used this tool and spread grass seed. This works better than the golf shoes. The holes are much deeper. When the grass begins to grow ill send an update. (If I remember.)

Very sturdy and well built. Works with ease. Some of the spikes loosen over time but that may be my fault for not tightening enough.

Works well just needs weight to get the spikes down in really hard ground. We have lots of tree roots and extremely hard packed soil . This did penetrate the ground and helped to revive our lawn in the hot summer months. Easy to assemble I am happy with this purchase.

After a trip to Home Depot to find the correct size flat headscrew WITH binding post, I headed to a small patch of back yard to aerate it. Ten minutes later EVERY SPIKE - ALL 19 had to be tightened, one fell off in the dirt. AMAZON IS JUST A DISGRACE. AS IS THE MAKER, THE GUY ON THE MISLEADING VIDEO.

With the high temps we have had several areas on our lawn where we have tried to reseed - withoutsuccess! This time we used the Aerator and I can finally see some grass starting to grow.I am very happy with the quality of the aerator, and it is very durable.Recommended

Assembly: Assembly was easy, just a couple of nuts and bolts that can be assembled with the tools they provided but I used my own! I also added some blue locktite to the threaded connections for some added durability and to prevent rust on the threadsUse: I used this product to help plant some grass seed in my yard from where my dogs tore it up. It helped to wet the lawn a little bit and then press it in. I found that mud would often clump on the bottom, but there's no way around this for this type of aerator. It did its job fine for the patchwork I did, but if I was to aerate my whole yard, I'd rent one from a hardware store

Used for 5 mins and pole snapped off from base . Horribly weak product !
