I bought this dutch oven as a place holder until I could afford a Le Creuset one. But this worked so well I never did need to buy the more expensive brand. Cooks evenly, the color pops in the kitchen and it cleans up easily.

Love the color. I purchased the 6qt dutch oven and it is nice and heavy. Delivered with no nicks, scratches or chips. Cooks evenly and the lid fits correctly. It holds more than enough for my family of 4. The first meal I prepared was a stewed chicken. The chicken legs and thighs browned beautifully. Leaving all the good bits for a flavorful gravy. I also prepared a curry noodle dish in this pot and it performed beautifully. It is currently my go to for just about everything now. I would definitely purchase another one.

The quality of the Dutch oven is as advertised, very sturdy (heavy yes), and it was perfect for cooking a pot roast. The color choices are also great. It cleaned very easily, and I look forward to its continued use.

I was looking at a much more expensive dutch oven to bake bread and this Lodge pot came up as an alternative. The price could not be beat and the size is perfect for bread, roasts, whole chicken, you name it. Plus after plating the meat and veggies you can put the pan directly onto a stove top to whip up gravy for truly a one pot meal. I purchased the 6 quart and it is HEAVY. I'm 70 years old and wouldn't feel safe picking up anything heavier from the oven, especially when full of meat and vegetables. It's plenty big enough for a big loaf of sourdough bread. If you're looking for a versatile dutch oven at a great price this is the one!

I purchsed in Oyster which is close to white. While others stated light colors will get brown spots on them, which is true - it comes clean off with barkeepers friend or baking soda and some elbow grease with a scrub daddy. Worth the effort. I keep this on my stove top because it's so pretty. I bake bread daily which comes out perfect and this dutch oven makes outstanding roasts. Just buy one!Hoping Lodge comes out with more soft tones & pastels in the future.

This review is for the Lodge 6 Quart Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven with Lid – Dual Handles – Oven Safe up to 500°.THIS IS AN UPDATE TO MY INITIAL IMPRESSIONS REVIEW BELOWI have been using this Lodge enameled cast iron Dutch oven for eight months now. I have made many dishes with it, including pot roast, birria, Hungarian goulash, and chili. All came out perfect and delicious. Best of all, it still looks brand new. No staining and not a hint of rust.I'm extremely pleased. So much so that I have upped this review from four stars to five starsHighly Recommended.(Initial Review Below)This is an "initial impressions" review based on my first use of this item. I plan to update this review in a few months after more experience using this item.First, as a basis for comparison, I should note that I own several pieces of French-made enameled cast iron cookware from Staub, Le Creuset and Made In, as well as some Chinese-made pieces from lesser known brands. This includes three enameled cast iron Dutch ovens in smaller sizes from Staub and Le Creuset. I bought the oldest one of these maybe 25 years ago, and it still looks and works like brand new.I also recently purchased, used, reviewed - and returned - a highly-rated Chinese-made 6 quart enameled cast iron Dutch oven from another manufacturer, which sells here at Amazon for a similar price to this one. That one was absolutely gorgeous out of the box. But it rusted and stained like crazy with ONE use. Ridiculous. Thus, I returned it.This one looked very nice out of the box, but not as "pretty" as the one I returned. The enamel seems a bit thin - especially as compared to my French-made Staub and Le Creuset enameled cast iron Dutch ovens. So I have some concerns about long term durability. On the other hand, a similar-capacity French-made enameled cast iron Dutch oven from Staub or Le Creuset would have cost at least three times as much as this Chinese-made item from Lodge. And Lodge is an old, established, company with a hard-earned and well-deserved reputation for quality value-priced cookware. All that notwithstanding, in its first use the performance of this Dutch oven was outstanding! I slow-cooked a pot of chili with beans and sun-dried tomatoes for several hours on the stove top and it turned out perfect and delicious. The thermal capacity of this beast is truly impressive.Meanwhile, not a speck of rust . . . which is as it should be. Cleanup was not exactly a breeze, but it wasn't really very hard either. In the end, it looked like it had never been used. Hours cooking a full pot of chili with tomatoes presents quite a challenge to an enameled cast iron Dutch oven - especially one with a white or cream colored interior. However this one stood up to that challenge and met it.Anyway, so far I am very pleased with this Lodge enameled cast iron Dutch oven. Since this is only an initial impression, and I do have some concerns about the durability of the enamel, at this point I'm only giving it four stars. However I plan to come back here later this year after having used it more extensively and update this review. At that point, I might upgrade it to five stars. But . . . so far, so good!

I bought this enameled Lodge 6-quart in red via Amazon a month ago and I'm mostly happy with it. It's beautiful, cooks very well and is pretty easy to clean. The pot is heavy, which means you'll have to be careful moving it. But that weight helps it retain heat when you add your food, so it sears beautifully. My only concern is that the **lid doesn't fit perfectly** on the pot. My photos show a gap on one side while the other overlap,.which shows me it's **not** a tight seal. While baking a roast in the oven, I've seen steam coming from the gap under the lid, which means it's not staying in the food. Reviews on Amazon suggest the lid fit is hit or miss.Maybe you'll get a higher quality product buying directly from Lodge? Not sure.Good luck, Lodge's enameled dutch oven is a great kitchen tool that's useful for more recipes than I'd ever expected.

I bought the 6 quart Dutch oven in the oyster white color. It is a beautiful quality Dutch oven. The lid is tight and not as heavy as the Le Creuset ovens. The inside bottom width is 8" wide and the top of the pot is 10.5" wide. The bottom has enough space to sear meats and add plenty of tomatoes, peppers and broth or water to make a delicious beef or chicken stew for several days. The flavors remain inside the pot because the lid is tight. I only use it on top of the electric stove. I don't use it in the oven. I hand wash the pot with Mr. Eraser original sponge, rinse it with clean water and dry it with a soft microfiber cloth. Don't use any abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals to keep your pot in good condition. I love the pot and highly recommend this pot for such a great price. Hope my review helps. Happy cooking! :-)

Everything is just amazing in it. Homemade bread is on a totally new level. Savoury food like roast is awesome. Wish i would have bought it sooner.

I purchased the 6qt enameled dutch oven in Caribbean Blue and am extremely happy with it. I have used it on the stove top and in the oven. This is the first enameled dutch oven that I have owned but I do own several other cast iron dutch ovens, mainly for camping and bread.Pros:looks great - the blue is very similar to the Le Creuset that I havegood size for familyoff-white interior makes it easy to see what you are cookingretains heat very wellcleans up easilygreat value for the money!heavy because it is cast iron, but not too heavygood fitting lidcan handle high temperaturesnice big handlesgood heat distributionCons:I would have liked a less round bottom to increase cooking surface, but this really isn't a big problem. If you want a good sized, attractive enameled dutch oven and don't want to pay a premium price for a Le Creuset or a Staub, I can heartily recommend this Lodge!
