Needed to replace a single string. This pack is affordable and I was able to replace the string myself with the help of a Youtube tutorial and pair of round nose pliers.

The E string came unraveled at the loop end when first tuning the mandolin to pitch. I’m careful to tighten them slowly, but the string kept unwinding during tuning. The other strings are holding together.After replacing the E string. I wanted to update this review.I really like the sound and playability of there strings on my National mandolin.

Had been buying tape wound strings at more than double the price of these, mainly for the feel. These strings, while not as sleek as the tape wound, still feel quite good and actually sound nicer. Well satisfied!
