I needed a new clip to hold my music books open while I play the piano. This one is very nice... well made, sturdy and strong. The treble clef design is a nice touch. I like that it came in its own velvet bag for storage.

I loved it! It looks so elegant and works perfectly. It is able to hold any thickness. This music book is about 300 pages and this product can split it on the half.

I am an experienced pianist but have been struggling for years with keeping pages open without the added benefit of someone standing there turning the pages for you, or going through the bother of laying heavier music on top of your pages so they stay open, etc. Then what do you do when you have to turn the page?? This is gorgeous! Well-made, elegant, sophisticated for all levels of pianists. Congratulations on developing something that is not only very effective, but looks stunning while you’re sitting at the piano.

Unfortunately, some buyers have been receiving an inferior knock-off for this item. I don’t know how that lottery works. I was lucky enough to get the nice, sturdy finished one that is shown as the shopping image. The edges are not sharp, it is strong, shiny, well-finished and works very well. The name brand velvet pouch came with it and it has the stamped G-clef emblem on it. It would make a great gift to a music friend but I am happy to keep mine. I had considered saving a few bucks and just buying jumbo spring clips from an office supply store but this is so much nicer and being very flat, easy to carry around; no bulk.

I am currently studying piano and bought this clip to use for some music books for beginner songs. This holds even bigger books very well. It's very sturdy and have had no issues with it. It is a little long however and sometimes the clips go over the piano notes so I have to move the clip up a little bit. That is okay but it's not as sturdy when I do that because the clip needs to be down further to really hold the book in place. Also, if you need to turn the page you obviously cannot do that with this clip as it keeps the page in place so I would recommend you move the right side of the clip the last page of the song you want to play so you can manually turn the pages when needed.

Three hundred years of piano music and we still haven't figure out how to keep it open on the music stand; you can get spiral bound or comb-bound (I have a few like that) but most music comes bound in signatures so you have trouble keeping a big book of Beethoven Sonatas open.(Yes, you can now buy a Kindle-like device to change pages with your foot. But I find it's not big enough for me. And the cost...and the music well, you have to scan it in?)So this clip. It's not terribly expensive and it does the job. Poke the two inner tines behind the pages and put the two outer tines on top. Presto, the music stays open. It works. Of course changing pages is an issue...you have to stop and remove the clip.So unless you can employ a page turner it's still a bit clumsy. For practice, though, if you are working on a few pages, it's excellent.

I got this clip as a late Christmas gift for a pianist friend of mine. I was looking for something small but meaningful and I think this beautiful clip is perfect for that.I haven't gifted it yet, but from my first impressions, it looks great. It doesn't bend easily, it has a good weight to it, although it's lighter than I expected, and the chromed finish with the cleff stamp at the top makes this look beautiful. It comes in a thin faux velvet bag that's nice to keep it from getting scratched but not much else besides that.After getting this in the mail, I ordered another one for a gift to another pianist. I think this is a great simple gift to show your appreciation to a musician in your life.

I’m learning to read the piano grand clef, and needed to keep the thick, bound music book open while I read the notes and play them. I looked at all kinds of clips and other possibilities, but felt this would handle the job the best. This stainless steel clip has a lovely smooth finish, and a Treble Clef sign graces it at the top. The clip is thinner than I expected but it is strong enough, and thickness is not an issue. If you open the book to the place you want to read, just insert the right and left middle prongs between a few of the right and left pages. The right and left outer prongs should be resting on top of the two open pages., and will hold the pages open. This way, it will work well and as intended, on any book whether thick or thin.

Bought to hold open my piano books and it works with a treat. Considering it's metal I'm not concerned it's going to break and by having a velvet pouch, I can keep it looking nice as well.
