Ordered this based on another review that stated it would work with my minkaAire Swept ceiling fan. This was easy to install - the hardest part was removing the wiring from my old switch. Installing as a snap and it works perfectly. Now we can turn the light on/off when we enter the room instead of remembering where the remote is at.

This wall control works great ***AS LONG AS*** you match it with the correct fan meant to operate from it.We made the mistake and purchased the WC400 control for our MinkaAire Sleek fan. This proved to be the wrong unit as the fan and light acted erratic and never worked like the remote did. I initially thought the unit was bad until I really dug-in online with the details.Although the wall control units look identical, they **DO NOT** operate properly with all MinkaAire fans. I've now seen the WC300, WC400, WC500, WC600 and a WC1000 that all look identical with little to no explanation as to which units operate which fans.I scoured the manual, the fan itself, the website...just about everywhere and didn't find any answers as to how you identify which WC unit you need. The answer ended but being stupid-easy.If your fan came with a remote, simply look at the back of the remote. It will have an RC followed by numbers. Simply buy the WC unit that has the same numbers as the RC unit. For us, it ended up being 600. You can completely ignore the model number of your fan as it will only confuse you more (our fan is a Sleek 800 series).End of story, the wall control does work great without any issues, however I do want to say SHAME on MinkaAire for offering ZERO information in the manual or on their website on how to find the correct wall control unit for your fan. I'll still give the product itself 5 stars, but the information on finding the correct unit deserves 0 stars.

Very easy to install and works as it should. It took longer to get the screws out of the wall plate than it did to wire it in. I'm happy I decided to get this. Now, no more hunting down the remote. Bought 2 more to work with my other Minka fans. Be sure to get the correct model to work with your Minka fan.

I ordered five remotes. I had them for 3 months before an electrician came to install them. When he did one of them was defective. Even after 3 months, I was able to exchange. It was simple and stress free. I highly recommend this seller!

Performance inconsistent. Sometimes it works with a single 'click'. Sometimes it takes several 'clicks' and sometimes not at all. All the buttons perform equally bad. I have had to use the portable remote to operate the fan when this wall remote fails and to 'reset' this wall remote. Very disappointed. I would return it but I threw out the packaging already.Addendum:I purchased an identical replacement (WC400). This one works flawlessly. I must have gotten a defective unit the first time. Highly recommend it. My only critique is that the buttons could have been lighted.

The unit does exactly what it is supposed to do. However make sure you select the correct unit. I have several Minka Aire Simple fans. Not all the fans in the Simple family are the same. I ordered the WD400 based on information provided. I spent more than an hour trying to pair the controller with the fan. The Simple fans come with a HH remote. I noticed the HH for some if my fans are RC1000 and some are RC400. From what I have been able to conclude from research is if you have a HH1000 and you want to also have a wall remote, you need to match them I have ordered a WD1000 hoping this works. I installed the WD400 on one of my fans that came with the RC400 and it works great.Important note, the hardware for the cover is non-standard. If you are using the included cover, or the provided screws with another cover, you will be fine. However, if you are using screw-less (hidden screw) covers, you will need to bore out the screw hole a bit to make the screw-less cover hidden screws to work. Take care to not over bore the holes as you will not be happy. I used a wood screw to carefully bore out the holes.

Easy to install if you are familiar with residential electrical wiring. Instructions provide the discrete steps necessary for it to align its control frequency with the paired fan.

It works fine, but it has a bright blue backlight, so it's not really suitable for a bedroom. Poor design choice.
