Operation Steps
Trouble Shooting Guide -
a) - Why does the LCD screen not turn on when connectting the battery tester with batteries?
- Check if any connection loose on the battery clamps with the battery posts.
- Check if the polarity connection is reversed. Make sure the red clamp with the positive post and the black clamp with the negative post.
b) - The LCD screen does not display correct value.
- The battery tester test range is 4-20volts DC. If the battery voltage is under 4volts DC, the LCD screen will display "LO".
- If the battery voltage is higher than 20volts DC, the LCD screen will display "HI".
c) - The LED indicators for the alternators side do not turn on but only the LED indicators for the battery side turn on when testing the alternator output.
- Please start the engine when testing the alternator output. If the alternator output is under 13.6volts DC, the LED indicators for the alternators will not turn on. (It means the alternator output is lower than normal. Check if any problem with the alternator.)
d) - The value on the LCD screen is flucturant.
- The battery tester has no batteries inside. It's powered by the battery to be tested directly. If the battery under testing is weak, the value on the LCD screen may be flucturant.
e) - The LCD screen does not turn on but only the Red reverse LED turn on.
- The connection with the battery should be reversed. Please correct the connection to operate again.

Good and inexpensive product to have in your garage. Allows you to test your battery and alternator so that you can replace them before they break down. I was considering replacing the OEM battery in my nearly five year old car, but the tester shows it is still going strong. I'll keep testing it it periodically and change it when I need to.

This is a great tool to have around the house, especially if you own multiple vehicles that aren't driven regularly. You simply connect the two cables to your battery terminals, and you'll get both a digital readout, as well as a simple led light to give you the battery or alternator status. This was so handy to have as I recently had to replace both my alternator and battery on my Dodge Durango. The alternator readout gave me piece of mind that the alternator was installed and working correctly. This unit will also warn you if you have the cables hooked up incorrectly. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is it's a bit cheaply made. It's hard plastic, and the rubber sleaves on the clips are very thin and tend to slide off easily. Having said this, the unit is priced accordingly, it's a value priced unit that gets the job done.

The tester was easy to use and gave clear, useful readings about battery. The cable for the clamps is single and then splits to two. The only problem I had was the amount of split cables was not long enough to comfortably use to connect clamps to battery posts, so I pulled the two wires apart on the single wire to create a longer separation. This did not appear to damage to cables.

I tested my battery exactly as instructed and it showed battery good alternator good. Two mornings later my car didn’t start. Not sure how to rate this. It was very easy and seemed like a slam dunk. I did check my records and the battery was 7 years old. Bottom line- purchased a new battery.

El equipo funcionó muy bien cumplió con la expectativa por el precio, solo que no trae seguridad contra cortos, se tocaron los cables rojo y negro al estar revisando un cargador de 12V y ya dejó de funcionar, al revisar el equipo no se encontró fusible contra este tipo de situaciones.

This compact, intuitive battery/alternator tester is accurate and easy to use - I compared readings to my more expensive charger/tester and it was bang on. And, it looks good, nice body finish and you won't slip out of your hand. For its small size, the tester gives a lot of bang for your buck.

Works as intended. Very easy to use and quickly displays the status of the batteries. I tested both of our cars that have a 4 year old battery each and stated both batteries are good and the alternators are working. We only drive our second car occasionally and the battery is mostly kept on maintenance charge to stop it from going flat. Seems to be doing the job and now I can be more assured with this nifty gadget. Highly recommend.

This is a handy little device and the reason i bought it was to test my battery and get a reading every morning before I go nuts and start looking for a parasitic drain with the multi meter. It works well and is alot easier to use and handle than my Multi Meter. But the reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because of accuracy. It's not as accurate as a good multi meter and reads a slightly different voltage than my current meter.But on the plus side it fits comfortably in the glove box, is easy to use and at this price point was worth the money just for my piece of mind. So I would definitely recommend this as a backup system to a multi meter.
