Worked perfectly & as advertised. I set this up incorrectly at first. The long bolt used to compress the springs does not sit flush with the clamp, so you’ll have to mess with that a bit but overall I am very satisfied with this purchase.

I have only done 8 of 16 valve springs so far, but have had ZERO issues. Changing from stock springs to BTR SK018 springs. If used as intended, I don't see how anyone would have any issues with this product. Price point is great, took is easy to use, and so far, it seems to be very durable, as nothing appears to have any wear at all after changing 8 valve springs.

Did some valve train work on my c5 5.7. This thing made it ten , a thousand times easier than the spring compressors they sell at auto stores. Fast and easy and also safe. Some people say they had to do adjustments but in my case it was super easy and helpful.

Purchased this valve spring compressor to do a job on my 2004 Z06. Thankfully, I had a set of ls heads in my garage. Opened package and immediately noticed the bracket that mounts to the head had machining issue. The mount is fine however the threaded hole where the compressor part mounts was not round . I threaded the bolt into it and it went in fine but at an odd angle. Mounted to the head and sure enough, when pressure is applied by tightening the nut to compress, it shifts the spring slightly and puts pressure on the bolt. This pressure makes it difficult to compress and began to strip the bolt. Cheap bolts and poor machining....look elsewhere.

Worked very well for the price. Did need to add an additional washer to collapse the springs far enough.

Works as it should just make sure you have it set up right.. It's also Strong enough to use a few times Comes with an extra bolt for when it starts stripping out

Ive seen allot about cheap hardware stripped out bolts ect. I think most of those people saying that didnt understand how to use it correctly. The main bolt that you tighten can only go so far. Just go till its tight if your valve retainers arent out enough for you to grab then just tap the top of the springs or push the valve in from below and theyll pop right out no problem. You dont have to go crazy tight theres no reason to strip the bolt. One other thing i reccomend isto hold that main bolt up and hand tighten it while aligning to the top of the springs to seat it then tighten down with a wrench itll line right up

Make sure the bolt goes through the correct way at an angle. If you put it together and it’s pointed the wrong way flip the bracket over and screw the bolt in the opposite way. I used some penetrating oil on the long bolt and nut on each use. Was able to remove all the valves in 1 LS head in 15 min.
