Poor casting and workmanship. Its a product from China, however seems to work okay after you use the grinder to put a true edge on the tool.

Rough and not perfectly flat but this wide blade will come in handy for many projects. Plan on sharpening yourself if you need a thin edge because it came blunt. It fit perfectly in my sds plus hammer drill and shares the power of the unit as it transfers that forward and makes quick work of removing tiles and surely many other things. While it seems like it could have been finished better, it is used in the worst demo jobs and will work just fine.

Ordered the Narwhal 6" Wide SDS Plus Chisel Bit since I had some old concrete surface coating that had mostly come off, but still had remaining spots that were firmly attached to the concrete below and needed to go. Seems like the perfect reason to add a new SDS bit to the collection to make this job go a little faster. Right out of the box, noticed that the Narwhal bit was pretty rough looking finish-wise. There were ragged edges, some small pits and indents on the flat surfaces, but it does not have to be pretty to work. So off to start chipping some concrete coating, and it did work fine for my initial trial project. After a couple hours getting all the remaining spots chipped off, the cutting edge bevel was still in fine shape. So giving a good review since it works even if it may not be pretty.

comes in real handy when ripping out ceramic tile. I ripped up 300 feet of tile with this in my Bosch an it knocked the tile up really well. I have a 500 floor scraping kit that has now been rendered obsolete by a hammer drill and SDS bit. This works better than my 40 lb ripper bar. Plus, it's durable, is small enough to fit in your toolbox, is inexpensive, and is much easier to use than a 40 pound bar.If you are removing flooring, then you should buy this.

This SDS bit is specifically designed to remove mortar and grout when removing floor tile. If you have ever removed floor tile, you know the hardest part is removing the old mortar. This bit is 6 in wide and slightly angled to facilitate the hammer drill. It functions quite well, but I did find it necessary to sharpen the bit prior to use. It holds an edge very well and I was able to do roughly a hundred square feet before having to resharpen it.SDS drills are expensive, and this one is reasonably priced for what it does.Considering the amount of time it saved me in processing my floor, I would gladly get this again.

I'm looking to take up tile in a bathroom and I've been looking for a chisel bit for that very reason. I grabbed this one without being familiar with the company. The first thing I noticed was the size and the weight. Both are very nice. You can definitely chip away material with relative ease.Unfortunately I'm disappointed with the manufacturing process and their lack of quality control. There is a lot of random material on the post, the edge isn't even, and the overall appearance isn't the best.Given that the price point is $37 right now, which is actually more expensive than some name brand manufacturers, I can't really recommend this piece.

The Narwhal 6†Wide SDS Plus Chisel Bit is a functional tool designed for removing tile, grout, and thinset with an SDS Plus rotary hammer.

The chisel claims a solid forged steel construction and a machine-sharpened edge. However, the finish quality is lacking, with noticeable chips and an uneven grind along the edge. While it may still perform the intended job, the rough manufacturing may result in premature wear or the need for additional sharpening before use. If quality control were improved, this could be a much more reliable option.
