Yeah, works and for $60, it helps get the wiring figured out with ease. If you dont' know how to use it, probably better to just hire someone, but otherwise it is a great tool.

This is a must to have in your tool bag when it comes to identifying network cabling issues.Plug in your cable to the appropriate port on the tester for what you need to address.Many functions and is simple to use...This $50 tool traced out unknown CAT6 cables runs better than other named brand tools brought in by professionals. With a quick scan, you can determine the cable run length or at what point the cable failed. I loved that we could plug in and flash the network switch to quickly determine which port the cable/device was patched into without even needing to use the network toner/probe.Don't have your electrical tool bag with you, no worries; this probe works as a non-contact voltage tester, allowing you to determine if power is being supplied to a device quickly.

So far so good. I've used the wire mapper which works great. Also the length test which seems to work. The toner also works but it isn't as good as the high end fluke which can go 10 miles. If the toner were higher quality I would rate it 5 stars. The toner does have alligator clips, RJ45, and RJ11 adapters which is nice. It comes with cheap earbuds - I assume so you can hear the quiet tone on longer cables. For the price this thing is really great.

My office is upgrading to VoIP phones from POTS lines. While we have existing Cat6 infrastructure, we had add PoE and debug a few problem lines or connections. This network cable tester let us, for less than $50, solve all the issues without bringing in an outside cable tech. I don't know how well it will hold up over longer use, but it easily accomplished all we needed for this project.Issues debugged:Identified originally miswired cable (crossover)Traced three lines with faults or disconnectionsChecked PoE at 50 or more points in buildingTraced missing PoE to two 5 port unmanaged switches in locations we were unaware of...Hard to beat that at the price!

Surprisingly does everything it claims very well. I do not use the voltage detector very often but seems to work. I originally purchased this to have as a backup with the rest of my tools but have gone to it more times than I can think of. POE tester, flasher, continuity and scanner all work well enough to have helped in several situations where I did not have all my tools. I had it for about 2 years now and it is still going strong. Compared to other testers that do the same for 3 times as much or more, it is quite impressive. The only gripes I have is that it has so many ports to do the job and it is missing coax capability, but at this price point I can get past that. Would definitely recommend and purchase again if needed.

So yes, i didnt expect much but I did buy it for a small office since that would be a good test environment for it.1st the product is very weird. It has a dedicated port for every feature. Its east to DO the wrong test if you are not paying attention.The toner works... but accuracy and strength give me doubts. I was able to test this over a few runs, but i took me forever to find my tone. Usually, the tone sensitivy is pretty high on cheaper models, but you had to GET REAL close to the cables to get to it.The measuring was garbage. It can detect 15 20 ft cables with a 1st or 2 margin, but anything shorter or longer it wont.SURPRISINGLY, the cable tester did work OK, BUT only when plugged into a switch... I was able to identify a bad cable but only when it was plugged into the switch. When its not plugged it says the cable is OK... sus.Returned, will maybe shell out another $50 for a more accurate/trusted tool.

Product was zoals door de leverancier beschreven, met een Engelse en een Duitse handleiding. Deze handleidingen passen in het bijgeleverde hoesje met ritssluiting, zodat ze niet zoek raken en dus altijd bij de hand zijn. Nieuwe batterijen voor de apparaten waren bijgevoegd, zoals het hoort. De verschillende onderdelen zaten netjes in een extra verpakking, zie de bigevoegde foto.Ik heb er ondertussen gebruik van gemaakt en kon prima nagaan welke netwerkkabels met welke apparaten waren verbonden. Wel even de aan/uit knop van de emitter wat langer ingedrukt houden, hij heeft dat nodig om op te kunnen starten. Ook kan gemakkelijk gecontroleerd worden of een netwerkkabel defect is. Verder kan de lengte van een netwerkkabel op elektronische wijze worden gemeten (mits niet verbinden met een ander apparaat; daar wordt duidelijk voor gewaarschuwd!).Er worden kleine oortelefoontjes meegeleverd, maar die heb ik niet nodig gehad. De gevoeligheid bij een meting is instelbaar en de signalen waren goed hoorbaar.Klein probleempje bij de levering gehad door mijn eigen fout, maar dat is voorbeeldig door deze leverancier opgelost.Kortom: aanrader!

War hier echt mega skeptisch aber was soll ich sagen das ganze macht zwar einen eher nicht hochwertigen Eindruck hält aber was es verspricht.Alle Funktionen funktionieren wie erwartet selbst die Kabellängenmessung war sehr akkurat.
