Network & Cable Testers
- Notes: Please note that the wire must be in a power-off state, otherwise the equipment will be damaged.
- The Network & Cable Testers is a hand-held cable testing tool, which can be used for line hunting of telephone lines and network lines.
- It can withstand 48V. It can be used to directly route the 48V switch, determine the line position and breakpoint, detect the line sequence of the network cable, the positive and negative polarity of the line, the state of the telephone line, the line on and off detection.
- There is no need to manually switch between digital and analog signals. The device will automatically switch to the corresponding detection mode.

Wide Measurement Range
The maximum transmission signal distance of the network tracker is greater than 984.25 feet.
Headphones and Adjustable Volume
The network finder has a 0.14" headphone jack, and the volume can be adjusted freely.
LED Light
There is an LED light on the transmitter, which can also be used in the dark environment.
Line Test Function
The Line Test Function is on the line of the open, shorted, wrong, reverse the physical connection detection.
Line Tracing Function
This instrument is suitable for RJ11, RJ45, other metal wires can be found through the transmitter.
Line Pairing Function
The instrument has the function of detecting various states of the telephone line, which can only be detected by the transmitter, such as judging the TIP or PING line, and judging the idle, ringing and off-hook status of the telephone line.

I work installing electronic security systems, so low voltage electrician. I'm still on my first one of these from 4 years ago and for 20$ just bought a bunch more for the new hires on my team. A wire toner is basically a necessity with the amount of wires we deal with and this thing does everything and more than the expensive models that cost 3X+ normally.After learning how to use it its an ethernet line diagnostic tool, non contact voltage tester, wire tracer, polling loop tester, and continuity tester. The cheaper unshielded wand is actually MORE useful than the fancy expensive ones because you can hear the hum of high voltage lines, the pulsing of data lines, and the ringing of the toner itself pretty clearly.The network line tester does basic pair testing but if you watch closely you can find a dimmer light on a potentially poor termination, sometimes just needing to fix one pin on an end rather than completely redoing it.If you do any kind of low voltage or data work I HIGLY recommend this. Oh and the cheap fisher price plastic case has stood the test from 20' falls to midwestern summers and winters left in the truck. Sure it seems cheap, and it is, but its well worth it

Good value and functions as advertised. Not great range for tone testing. Fine for a few feet, but not great for long distances. Mine can do 50 feet max with mild shielding on the wire.

Overall its a great product, does what i needed it to do and solve a problem for me. However you really need to read the 2 font instructions to understand how to use it. I bought it to specifically tone a coax cable. Got the device, set the dial to "tone" and nothing. Checked other settings, seemingly not working right and nothing. Put the unit on "scan" and i get a tone. No problem ill use it for my needs and return it defective. Fast forward, fixed my issue then decided to read t instruction. No joke on 2 font. i needed my phone to read it. Well low and behold, you get the tone feature my using scan, the "tone" on the dial is to check dial tone on a phone line. After looking over the instructions it does work as they say its just really odd why the settings are callled what they are. Am keeping as it comes in handy and was a good value just not intuitive like any other testing i own or have used.

First tool I recieved was previously used. Scuff marks all over it (not that I care much as long as it works), but the toning feature and the network scan were both dysfunctional. The network scan didnt even scan all 8 lines, and the toning feature didnt work whatsoever. The network test button did absolutely nothing as well.The second one was the same, but the network scan worked on the probe side but nothing at all on the tester side and the probe/tone functions were as not working, same as the first I received. At least this one was new out of the box...Total junk, save your money and get something else...

I purchased this line tracer to figure out how my telephone lines were routed. I had static on my house phone and the cable company was useless for anything beyond the router/modem. It turned out the lines were buried in inaccessible places covered with foam insulation, etc and I had to run a new line to the other side of the house. The toner allowed me to trace the wall phone jack connection to the attic where I was able to connect a new line and run that back through the garage and then down through the basement to the router. Problem solved.I did not get a chance to use the other features of this tool but it paid for itself several times over with this one use. I used a standard RJ11 telephone line to go directly from the toner to the wall jacks on both sides. BTW, the signal was very strong. I was actually able to trace the wires behind a wall in the kitchen and found that they ran up to the attic and not down to the basement.

Problem is that after I installed the provided batteries, scanning sound was incredibly low and hard to hear at all. I opened up the scanner and everything looked normal, so I checked the battery and it was only 7.5v. So I replaced the battery with the one that had and the sound become normal. So at the end, it was battery issue. Battery was sealed and looked new so I didn’t expect that it was drained. It is not the manufacturer’s fault but I am just uploading the photo and review for the people who might have same problem. Product is normal and good. Just replace battery, it will be ok. :)

Works fine qnd price is good. The audio noise is very noisy with interference and it is hard to pinpoint 1 cable in a bunch but its already a time saver to at least follow the cabling inside the car to find an issue.

Nicht nur waren die Batterie leer, was an sich noch zu verkraften ist, sondern ist 3 von 4 Funktionen nach der ersten Benutzung schon nicht mehr funktionstüchtig.Kabel tester hat einmal funktionniert, beim nächsten Versuch gingen di Test-Lichter schon nicht mehr...Bloß Scan funktionniert so halbwegs nach 3-4 on-off des Geräts....Für den Preis Finger weg!
