I have purchased smaller wool mats that I really love in the past from another vendor and use a lot so I decided I would try this full size . A friend made a rectangle wooden press board that fit over my regular size ironing board and the mat lays on top of that . I am a quilter and this mat presses seams flat and I love that I can iron a quilt top or piece of fabric that is 60” long or a nice tablecloth , the carry bag and iron silicon rest is just a plus as I can travel with my projects . Performs as it should , no odor but you need to iron on a wool setting and not hot cause you will burn the mat . I expect to be using this mat for many more years to come !

I will use this wool mat in place of one I have. The size is larger and will allow me to cover more surface area. This mat is also lighter in weight than the one I have. It shipped quickly and was undamaged. I will purchase from this seller again.

Pressing seems to take less time with this mat. I love how little room it takes up on a table top so I don’t have to leave my ironing board up. I put it on top of a protective pan just in case the heat might ruin the table top. It’s great for pressing while making quilts. I use it with my mini iron.

It covers my ironing surface, which is why I splurged. I put a canvas cover on it to avoid burns (cotton iron is hotter than wool). The pad makes a huge difference in flatness of quilt pieces. I'm pleased.
