Did timing on a Sonic with the 1.8l. I used a rubber band to hold the intake side cam tool while positioning the exhaust side. Once on, just cut the rubber band. Rear Cam holder bracket fit perfect. I didn't use the drive belt tensioner tool but I'm sure it works. Timing pin for the timing tensioner worked perfect as well. Great kit for the money. Engine runs great.

I got this because it looked just like the one in the how to video I watched. Amazon gave me a warning that it does not fit a 2014 Chevy Cruze and gave me a suggested similar product that didn’t look anything like the one I saw in the video. I used this one and it worked perfectly. Quality tool kit made with metal parts all around.

Good tool for the money, camshaft locks DO work, just need to make sure the cam gears are perfectly lined up. Might need to slightly move the crank sprocket back and forth very very slightly. Do yourself a favor and mark your old belt before you take it off(see my picture). Once I swapped the belt I held the old one up to the new one and lined up my marks on my old belt, then lined up the lugs on the belt to make sure everything lined up EXACTLY the same. This is not a job for a novice unless you are very brave. Once you get your timing belt and everything done, pull the spark plugs and turn the engine over with the crank bolt through 2 full revolutions and make sure there is no hard resistance. If there is, make sure you did everything correctly because more than likely your valves could be contacting your pistons. On another note, the crankshaft lock did not work for me. But overall this kit helped me get the job done, and the pin for the timing tensioner was also very helpful. Good luck!

i was able to make it work on my 2012 Chevy Cruze LS to be able to hold the gears in place to change the timing belt
