Update********12/03/23I’ve had this unit for little over a week and have recently been experiencing problems with the night vision no longer working or needing constant reset and pairing leading me to feel this product is unreliable. If you’re using this camera for night purposes it may be best to invest elsewhere.Purchased this camera on black Friday for 50$ and I have no regrets. The quality was better than expected it comes with a mouth if you wish to attach it to the wall and if your using for a play pen the bottom of the monitor is magnetic so it just attaches itself to it. I love how it tells if the temperature is appropriate or needs to be adjusted. To set up wasn’t difficult and fast the app it wants you to download walks you through

My fav! I love everything owlet. I love how I can see his stats and everything on my app and love that I can save cute clips of my baby. If I had to complain about anything it would be better quality in color and night time when you wanna zoom in a bit.

This thing is incredibly frustrating given the price. We have had such a hard time getting the camera to pair with the app. It will pair but the app will forget the device after a while.Now the app has forgotten the camera and we have been unable to pair it again no matter how hard we try. The suggestions on the support site do not help. I’ve gone into advanced settings on my router and made adjustments which do not help either.Further when the camera and app are paired there is a huge delay between events in the nursery and when they show up in the apps video/audio stream.The Cam2 quality has been extremely low considering the price. Go with a competitor brand.

This is a nice camera with great features. I purchased this so that my husband and I could see our child while we are at work through Wi-Fi. It was very easy to set up you just download the app and follow the instructions on your phone. The camera will tell you the humidity and room temperature in your room and if it’s a comfortable environment for your child, it also has playback, audio, and background noise which you can turn off it the settings. The camera quality is very nice. It also has night vision and based on your Wi-Fi connection the first image quality is usually great. Through the app you can choose to have notifications tell you when your child is crying or like loud noises , however, I chose not to opt for that because if your child tends to cry a lot the notifications can get quite annoying. One downside that I found to this camera is that you have to manually rotate the camera whereas my other baby monitor camera be rotated from the monitor itself. It would be nice if you could rotate the camera from your phone that should be a feature they consider adding in the future. Also I usually will watch my phone and my other baby monitor screen while I’m in the house and I have noticed that there is a bit of a lag in the video playback with the Owlet camera compared to my other baby monitor camera. I use this camera in conjunction with the Owlet Dream sock. Overall I think this was a great purchase and I would recommend it to any new parent

We bought 2 of these to help us discretely monitor my grandmother who has dementia. Have had them for about 2 weeks, and so far I can say they work decently well & she doesn’t seem to be bothered by them.PROS:+Easy to setup if you’re placing it on a surface & not up high (more install required up high).+Video quality & sound input are alright (you can adjust these a bit in the app).+The night vision feature is helpful so we & the caregivers can see if/when she’s wandering after bedtime.+2-way talk feature! We haven’t used this just yet to talk to my grandma, but we’ve used it to talk to the caregivers or each other easily when one of us is away from home.+Can check the app & view the footage anytime, anywhere.+Private & only people connected to your account/device can view the video.CONS:-Bluetooth pairing took a few tries. You have to make sure your phone & the cam are connected to the same WiFi.-Only 1 device & 1 account can pair to the cam. (HOWEVER—We found a way to work around this. We each installed the app on our phones, but we’re each logged into the same account. The newer Cam 2 version does allow for multiple devices/accounts, I believe).-2 way talk volume is SO QUIET & no way to adjust it. But I’m sure that’s because you wouldn’t want to scare an infant with a loud voice. Still would be nice to be able to adjust.-No audio/video recording feature. But again, the newer Cam 2 version I believe does have that option.Overall a good device & experience so far! May buy again if we need another.

This is a great camera. It is very sensitive to sound and it has a very clear picture. You can turn on background noise, which lets you hear the nursery even when your phone is locked or on another app. Overall I am very pleased. Exactly what I was hoping for in a monitor for my babies room.

I love that the monitor is your phone, so easy to use, and one less thing to carry around and remember to charge! The app is very useful, and I love that you can turn the sound on in the background, so that you can use your phone for other things while still listening for baby. You can even make and receive phone calls, and hear baby, which is very reassuring. Installation was easy, and came with all that was needed. The night vision in the camera is perfect, and I love that you can zoom in if needed! Great value for the price!

This camera has 2 jobs:1. Connect to Wifi2. Be a cameraIt doesn't do either one well, it doesn't do either one all the time, and it won't take long for it to stop doing both forever. Also it will blame your wifi network, even though it almost certainly isn't the problem.And no, my experience is not a fluke. Everyone on the internet hates this camera! I've personally owned 3 (first and second Gen), all purchased at different times. I've tested them with different ISPs and routers. And I'm very experienced in network setup.So if you want a pill shaped object that quickly develops loose connections with the Micro-USB (yeah!) cable you just glued to the wall and says it only officially supports 2.4GHz Wifi (but doesnt actually connect reliably to it) then this is the rock for you!However, if you're concerned about things like the ability to make sure your baby is safe, look elsewhere.

Worth it if you can get it on sale? Quality of the image and sound is nice with maybe a 1s delay. It comes in a nice packaging with everything you need to secure it and the cord to a wall. The major draw back is the cam sporadically goes offline and I have to factory reset it to get it to sync again. Idk if the cam is resetting after updates and doing that? It's def annoying and if you only notice you have to sync again after putting baby down welp... guess you have no cam for the night.

Most disappointing buy for my baby! 3-5 second lag in the video output and the features being offered are quite basic for the fact the video goes back to server for processing.
