I was impressed with how sturdy this is. It also lets you pack a lot of bits into a small space.I'd tried making router bit racks out of wood on my drill press, but when I drilled holes with a 1/2" bit they were too tight and the router bits wouldn't fit, so I drilled them out again with a 9/16" which made them too loose and the router bits would wobble around. At that point I figured rather than spending the money to buy a 17/32" Forstener bit to try it again, I'd just give this a try, and I'm glad I did. The bits fit snuggly and don't wobble around at all, but they still go in and out easily. I plan to build a drawer to fit the tray's dimensions. Eventually, when the Router bit collection outgrows this tray, I will definitely get a second one.It might be worth mentioning, this does have a strong smell. You know that foam-plastic chemical smell? It doesn't bother me so I didn't take a star away, but I know it bothers some people. I stopped noticing it after a week or two.

Holds bits securely and can easily be cut with a band saw or a razor blade. I cut mine to fit inside a packout and it works perfectly. I’m sure after much use, the holes may become worn, but for the price, it’s a good product.

High quality, rugged foam. Router bits, both 1/4” & 1/2” fit snugly and will not “fall out”. High quality. Can be easily trimmed to fit into any number of tool/parts trays.

I would have liked to of pushed the shafts of the bits in farther but they are a bit tight. It still supports them fine. If you want to store lots of 1/2" shank straight/flush cutters the spacing is ideal. But if you have profile bits the hole spacing is a bit close. The 1/4" holes are spaced pretty good as the OD of most of the bits aren't that large. But some of the 1/2" bits the OD is large enough where they touch each other or you have to go every other hole. If they lost 2 1/2" holes per row it would be better for spacing of the 1/2" bits, it wouldn't look as pretty as the holes wouldn't all line up but it would be more practical (for my collection). Or maybe a row or two of wider spacing for the profile bits and the existing spacing for straight/flush bits. The foam is pretty stiff but still slightly flexible. It had a slight smell when I took it out of the packaging. No labels on the foam, just on the outside of the plastic wrapper. After I put all my bits in I was surprised at how many I had collected over the years.

I bought this to replace a hard plastic router bit tray that was a headache to use because it held the bits too tightly. The Powertec bit tray is more of a sponge rubber that holds the bits securely, but I don't have to risk cutting my fingers on the bit trying to pull it out.

I was well pleased with the quality of the material. It is a dense foam material that seems quite substantial. The bits fit snugly plus it is the right size to fit in my wall cabinet. Very satisfied

This is exactly what I need to store my router bits that I had previously just put in a shop drawer. Easy access without the possibility of bits getting damaged. Finding the proper bit is much easier now.

This is a simple yet effective way to store a fairly large collection of router bits...It holds well 1/4", 8mm and 1/2" bits -I don't have any 12mm bits to test. The spacing between the holes is fairly tight, which means it might not be possible to use every hole when using large diameter bits. The foam is fairly thick and seems to be of good quality, stiff but with enough give to insert and remove the bits easily, while holding them well.Overall the tray is a very tight fit in a Systainer -cutting the foam is strongly recommended if this is what you have in mind!I understand that holding the bits in foam is better than holding them in a wood block from a corrosion perspective, but I only started using this product a few weeks ago and can't confirm this yet.
