This is a great little stud finder, you need to make sure you have it as level as you can possibly get it as any inaccuracy will be multiplied the further away from the device you go, but if you're careful this can save you the extra step making sure whatever you are hanging is level.

This laser stud finder and level are very handy. This combines two tools I already have into one little device. I am smack dab in the middle of an extensive renovation and have used this tool many times. I especially like the laser part for ensuring things are straight and aligned where I need them. It is rechargeable, just the cherry on top of a convenient tool.

I have had a few studfinders over the years. Most of them work pretty well, once you get the hang of using them. This one has several nice features - the built in level and laser lines make hanging pictures easy (used it to find studs for, and hang a set of framed prints that were a set - so all had to be level with each other, and also used it to find studs for and mark level line for a TV mount). Stud finding ability is about the same as my yellow one from the big box store, however this one has additional features for finding electrical wires and metal studs that my old one lacks. Laser lines were bright and usable out to a couple feet in daylight, much further with the lights down low. The studfinder itself has a nice heft to it and feels like a quality tool.One of the best features is that its RECHARGABLE - my other one takes a 9v and is nearly always dead when I acutally need it. This one can be easily and quickly charged if it goes dead. Bravo.Also contains a nice carrying/storage case and some accessories to attach it to the wall temporarily.

I was really hopeful this would be the last stud finder I would need. When it arrived the screen was scratched which I was willing to overlook, but it just didn’t work. Either it would say my whole wall was a stud or that it couldn’t find one. So I tried replacing it, but I’m pretty sure they sent the same stud finder back because when it arrived the screen was scratched and accuracy was low. I won’t buy from this company again after that experience.

great stud finder with the added benefit of laser levels! both horizontal and vertical with a toggle for which you need. has a mounting surface with big thumb tacks. USB charger and a carrying case that can be strapped on to a utility belt. really cool product at a reasonable price.
