Was simple to install, works ok but if you want the adjustment for the speed at which pressure is applied it doesn't have it.

I like this brake controller. I am pulling a 25 ft. camper and about three volts on the display is plenty to stop it smoothly. I like the fact that I can mount it in any position and it still works the same. Price was reasonable also.

This plugged right into my '04 GMC Sierra 2500 crew cab with the Tekonsha 3015-P Brake Control Wiring Adapter for GM 03-07 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001NZKPS8/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_3). It was a completely different experience towing with this controller with a 14 enclosed trailer. Wish I did it sooner!

Easy to install, and works great.Easy to learn to use, and I hardly glanced over the "quick use" card. I DID, however, put it in the glove box - in case I need to refer to it later!

I didn't understand that it was simply a timer and not proportional control.When you brake it turns on and over a period of about three or four seconds it goes from zero voltage to the maximum you have set regardless of braking effort.what this means is that I find myself pumping pedal to release trailer and starting time sequence again and again, also when sitting at stop light with light pressure on pedal, the controller ramps up to maximum setting which can overheat wires if its a long stop light.For the price I'm happy, and it seems to improve voltage to my trailer over my old unit. but I wish I would have paid more and at least got one with a shut off switch for when sitting at stop lights.I dont need it much so will put up with it, but if I go back to full time work hauling daily I will upgrade.install is two minutes.
