Good value.Seems to be durable. Worked perfectly for me. Came in a nice zipper soft case inside the cardboard box. Two AAA Duracell batteries included, not crappy generic batteries.I will recommend it for homeowners, but I don’t think I’m qualified to speak to professionals.Glad I bought it.

Do not underestimate your ability to detect Propane with your nose. They put that smell in there for that reason. But when you are installing permanent piping, and connections, and want to be really really sure this provides that assurance. I opened the valve to test the tester and sure enough it detected right away. Belt and suspenders.

Great device for checking for natural gas leaks, that is much more accurate than looking for bubbles from a soapy water mixture. It's also way less messy, and faster to complete. I I tested the device to be sure it was going to do what it clamed, by turning on the stovetop burner and before the ignitor could ignite the gas, the alarm was already sounding. so I tried it on some of the gas lines in the basement, it detected such a small leak, that i couldn't even smell any gas, but it did! I tightened down the fitting, retested, and no more leak! Very happy with my purchase, and even though I won't use it much, It has already shown me the value of having it among my tools.

We recently could smell a propane leak outside our 3 year old 5th Wheel RV, but couldn't seem to locate the exact location. Using this detector I was able to locate the exact spot in about 2 minutes.I've come to feel that this is a tool that everyone who owns an RV should absolutely have with them!5 Star 🌟
